Grand Theft Auto fans have spotted a cheeky reference to Vice City hiding in the key art for GTA Online‘s Agents of Sabotage update, which has led some to believe it’s a tease for GTA 6.
One year ago tomorrow, Rockstar Games finally stopped keeping its cards so close to its chest and officially revealed the first trailer for GTA 6. Aside from confirming that it’s still set to launch in Fall 2025, we’ve heard literally nothing else about the hugely-anticipated game in the time since that original announcement.

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be the gaming event of the 2020s, but Half-Life 3 will do something truly new.
You know what’s worse than Rockstar Games’ silence, though? The endless fan theories and speculation about when we’re going to be getting the next trailer or info drop. GTA fans are so rightfully desperate for more news (trust me, I am one) that pretty much everything is being taken as a tease. Well, at least the latest target actually appears to be a purposeful hint.
GTA Online Update References Vice City, Fans Think It’s A GTA 6 Tease
Earlier this week, Rockstar announced the next big update for GTA Online, Agents of Sabotage, which goes live on December 10. The update itself is about what you’d expect from GTA Online and focuses on adding in some new heists, but the real interesting part comes from the key art that was released for Agents of Sabotage.
In the upper right corner of the image, you can see a generic character looking intently at an idol of some sort while standing next to some computers. As pointed out by Twitter user TGGonYT, taking a closer look at that scene reveals a different statue sitting on the desk that should be familiar to anyone who has played GTA Vice City.
The idol on the table looks very similar to the Hidden Packages that could be found across Vice City, which were designed to look similar to tiki statues. It’s a very clear nod to Tommy Vercetti’s time in Vice City, which some fans have taken as a not-so-subtle hint at news of GTA 6 being on the horizon.
While it could just be a nod to Vice City, it is interesting that Rockstar chose to specifically reference Vice City’s hidden packages, which makes it seem like a more purposeful choice. It’s a much stronger case to make than the ones we saw for some of the other “hints” that Rockstar has dropped for GTA 6 over the last few months.
