EA finally tackles the FC 25 community’s biggest Rush complaint

After many requests from players, EA has changed how the Rush mode works in EA Sports FC 25. The new game mode is meant to provide quicker matches in this year’s entry to the soccer game series, but the main piece of player feedback has always been that Rush matches go on too long. Thankfully, that’s no longer the case with the latest EA FC 25 update, which also happens to make a number of other changes too.

If you’re a Rush player in EA Sports FC 25, I’ve got good news. Match length in the soccer game‘s newest mode is now shorter than ever, so if you’ve been grinding Rush out, you’ll now get even more games in your free time.

“We’re decreasing the match length for Rush in Football Ultimate Team from seven minutes to five minutes,” EA writes.

“We’ve heard your feedback on some Rush matches feeling like they’re too long, and we’ve seen this reflected in our data as well. In 95% of all seven-minute Rush matches in Football Ultimate Team, the team leading by the fifth minute ended up winning the match. We believe that the decreased match length will make for faster-paced gameplay while still allowing for those rewarding comeback moments.”

The next goal you score in Rush will be bigger than ever, too, as EA adds two new celebrations to the game. We’ve now got celebrations inspired by Trent Alexander-Arnold and Dusan Vlahović, both of which will be available in Kick Off, Career, and in the Ultimate Team pool of items.
