How Trader Quest Tiers Work In 7 Days To Die

Here’s a breakdown of how trader quest tiers work in the survival game 7 Days to Die.

Knowing which books to look out for can help players survive the harsh post-war ruins of Navezgane (and all the other maps.) While most players will have their own views on which books are the best, there are a handful of books out there that most players prioritize above all others.

Best Places To Find Books

A Mailbox In 7 Days To Die-1

Players can find books and magazines all over the place. That said, there are a few places that tend to be more fruitful than others. The first is traders. All traders will sell at least one or two books. Since their stock refreshes every few days, players may end up finding some of the books they are missing by checking in with the traders regularly.

The next way to get plenty of books is by looting Crack-A-Book stores. These stores can be found mostly in towns, but depending on the map, it’s possible to find a couple of these stores along quiet streets. These stores typically contain a dozen or so books that are just there for the taking.

The best and easiest way to find books is to search mailboxes and newspaper stands. Since these can be found outside POIs, there’s no need to actually step foot inside a building. Simply head street by street, looting mailboxes and newspaper stands to build up quite a large collection of books and magazines very quickly.

9 Wasteland Treasures Volume 1

Getting Infected Becomes Less Stressful

Wasteland Treasures Volume 1

  • Adds A Small Chance To Harvest Honey From Trees

Getting infected is never ideal. Unfortunately, it’s almost impossible for players to go more than a few days without becoming infected. Being infected isn’t much of an issue once the player has a decent stockpile of cures. But that stockpile takes some time to build up. To help gather cures faster, players should keep an eye out for Wasteland Treasures Volume 1. This book gives the player a small chance to find honey when cutting down trees. Honey cures up to 5% of the player’s infection state. While it’s not a lot, it is certainly better than nothing.

8 Batter Up! Volume 6

Send Enemies Flying

Batter Up! Volume 6

  • Power Attacks With Clubs Have A 20% Chance To Ragdoll Enemies

At first glance, this book seems like it’s more for entertainment than for beneficial use. However, this book grants the player a very powerful perk; the ability to ragdoll enemies. Aside from being rather funny, sending enemies flying can be incredibly useful when it comes to dealing with large groups of zombies.

It’s not uncommon for players to find themselves overrun by zombies in an enclosed space. Having a chance to throw a zombie across the room could offer the player just enough space to squeeze past the rest of the undead and make a quick escape.

7 Night Stalker Volume 4

Carry More Back To Base After Dark

Night Stalker Volume 4

  • Never Encumbered At Night

Most players will end up in a situation where they stay out too long looting and have to make a dangerous trek back to base while being weighed down by all sorts of goodies. Carrying too much slows the player down. The more the player is carrying, the slower they will move. Since most players aren’t going to lighten their load, this book is exactly what they need to be able to get home in a hurry. Once read, players will never become encumbered at night. This is great for all those hoarders who enjoy grabbing everything they see.

6 Bar Brawling Volume 5

Fighting Makes You Stronger

Bar Brawling Volume 5

  • Recover 1 Hit Point With Every Punch

Fists and knuckle weapons can be very powerful. With the right setup, and plenty of beer, players can obliterate enemies without needing to rely on bullets or explosives. Bar Brawling Volume 5 gives players the ability to heal 1hp with every punch. While this isn’t a lot, considering how fast the player can punch, this book can make them borderline immortal.

Players can charge through hordes of enemies, smacking them as they pass and taking virtually zero damage. This book works best when the player has a full set of decent armor and a few skill points in perks like The Brawler.

5 Tech Junkie Volume 5

Send Enemies Flying

Tech Junkie Volume 5

  • Unlocks The Ability To Craft The Repulsor Mod

The Stun Baton is a very powerful weapon on its own. However, with the Repulsor mod, this weapon becomes almost unstoppable. Reading Tech Junkie Volume 5 will grant players the ability to craft the Repulsor mod. When equipped, the Stun Baton will send enemies flying with every charged hit.

Not only will all nearby enemies get sent flying, but the zombie/creature that took the charged blow will suffer electrical damage while they are stunned on the ground. This weapon is perfect for clearing POIs as it allows the player to keep zombies at bay fairly easily.

4 Magnum Enforcer Volume 4

Save Some Dukes

Magnum Enforcer Volume 4

  • Bartering With A .44 Gun Drawn Gives The Player A 5% Discount

Traders have a tendency to overcharge players for goods, especially during the early stages of the game. Magnum Enforcer Volume 4 grants players a 5% trader discount when they have a .44 drawn. This rather comedic way of getting a discount can be very useful when used alongside other bartering perks, armor pieces, and consumables.

7 Days To Die can be a tough challenge for newcomers. With these beginner tips, players can not only survive, but thrive.

While obtaining Dukes isn’t really much of an issue during the later stages of the game, having a discount is always a nice bonus. To make the most out of this perk, it’s worth keeping a chest outside trader settlements filled with all of the items that give the player better prices. This should include a .44 magnum.

3 Wasteland Treasures Volume 6

Never Run Out Of Cloth Again

Wasteland Treasures Volume 6

  • Learn To Weave Plant Fibers Into Cloth

Cloth is a key resource for crafting important items such as bandages and duct tape. While it can be found pretty easily, getting enough to keep the player stocked up is a seemingly impossible challenge. Wasteland Treasures Volume 6 allows players to craft cloth using plant fibers. Since plant fibers can be found pretty much everywhere, especially in the forest region, players can simply head outside and grab a handful of this abundant resource and use it to craft as much cloth as they need.

2 Urban Combat Volume 7

Become More Powerful Indoors

Urban Combat Volume 7

  • Take 5% And Deal 10% More Damage While Indoors

Clearing POIs is something that most players will do regularly. This means getting into small areas with all sorts of undead enemies. Every POI is filled with trigger points and traps that are designed to force the player to go toe-to-toe with a bunch of zombies. As players progress and craft themselves a set of top-notch armor, taking on hordes of the undead in a confined space isn’t really that dangerous. However, during the early and mid stages of the game, players can find themselves in some very sticky situations if they aren’t careful.

Urban Combat Volume 7 allows players to deal more damage while indoors and take more damage at the same time. This means that players will have a higher chance of surviving falling into a pit full of zombies after reading this book.

1 Urban Combat Volume 5

Never Go Boom Again!

Urban Combat Volume 5

  • Land Mines Won’t Detonate When Stepped On

Accidentally setting off a mine is not a great way to go! Places such as military outposts usually have mines scattered around the base’s exterior. To avoid setting them off, players can try moving carefully, shooting them from a distance, ushering zombies through the minefield, or reading Urban Combat Volume 5. This handy book will prevent the player from ever experiencing death by stepping on a land mine again.

Not only does this book work for players on foot, but it works for vehicles too. Players can drive over mines in any of the game’s vehicles and never have to worry about causing a huge explosion.
