Reach the Abandoned Mines

Players who are looking to put the Abandoned Mines Access Token to use should begin by navigating to the Root Node in the Factory (Underground). Fortunately, Nine Sols‘ Teleport ability, which can be used at the Four Season Pavilion’s Root Node, makes it very easy to quickly travel to the Factory (Underground).

After reaching the Factory (Underground), Nine Sols players should make their way to the top-right corner of the area. There is an exit that leads to the Abandoned Mines in that corner, and fans who are struggling to reach it can follow these steps:

1. Start at the Root Node in the Factory (Underground).
2. Climb the rope to the right of the Root Node and ascend, using Air Dashes and scalable walls as needed.
3. At the top of the ascent, go right and Air Dash to clear a section of red spikes. The Abandoned Mines Chip is on the ground just past that obstacle.
4. Continue to the right, using Air Dashes and Tai-Chi Kicks to clear obstacles.

Pass Through the Abandoned Mines

Players should now be in the Abandoned Mines, and it is in this area that they will find a use for the Abandoned Mines Access Token. More specifically, there is a door that is unlocked with the token, and Peach Blossom Village is beyond that door. While Metroidvania fans who are thorough in their explorations of the Abandoned Mines will undoubtedly encounter the door that is opened by the Abandoned Mines Access Token, here is a path that leads directly to it:

1. Use the Mystic Nymph to hack the device on the ceiling, and ride the blue slider to the right.
2. Climb the rope and head left to reach a device that activates a blue slider when struck.
3. Use the blue slider to go right, and continue to the right to reach a device that provides temporary illumination when struck.
4. Cross the spike pit, use the Mystic Nymph to hack the device on the ceiling, and activate the Root Node.
5. Climb the rope to the right of the Root Node, and strike the device to illuminate the area.
6. Quickly climb to access a blue slider, ride it to the right, and continue right to reach the door that is opened by the Abandoned Mines Access Token.

After unlocking the door, and passing through it, players will find themselves in the Underground Cave. This area leads directly to the Peach Blossom Village, and there are numerous enemies for fans of 2D games to defeat there.
