However, there are some differences to how buying and selling players works in UFL. You’re not able to get players by opening packs. You can spend money to buy players, but you’ll always be trying to get the player you want, instead of rolling the dice in the hope that you get a good player. How you upgrade your team is more in your own hands in UFL.

How To Buy Players

From the main menu in UFL, select the Market option and then Transfers. From there, the list of all players you can buy will be listed in price order, starting with the highest rated and most expensive players you can buy.

From there, you can filter all the players by position or rating, or even enter the name of a specific player if you know who you want to buy.

Once you’ve found the player you want to buy, you can hold square/X to quickly buy them for the Credit Points amount indicated under the player.

You can get Credit Points by either completing matches in Ranked mode or buying them from the Store for real money.

Once the purchase has been completed, the player will be sent to the reserves section of your Club. Head to your main squad and navigate to the reserves section. You can then swap the new player into your active squad, removing a player who’s currently included there.

How To Sell Players

This is the part of squad management and money-making that UFL doesn’t explain at all. Rather than selling them from the Transfers screen, you need to head to the Squad screen.

There’s no Transfer Market in UFL. You cannot buy players from and sell players to other UFL players. Every player has a set price.

Once you’re on the squad screen, find the player you’d like to sell in your main team or head to your reserves and select a player. From the player wheel, where you can add skills, you will see a ‘sell player’ option. It will say how much you’ll get for selling the player, so you can select that if you want to.

You won’t be able to cancel it, so make sure you’re confident you don’t want the player back. You’d have to buy the base version again if you ever want the player back.
