M16A4
We wanted a weapon in here that’s not only great but is unlocked from the get-go and can be used by every Operator, and the best of those is by far the M16A4. It may be a burst weapon, but with 25 damage-per-round complimenting its 672 RPM fire rate, as well as astounding accuracy, its firepower more than makes up for that. To improve it further as you work towards unlocking more superior weapons, here are the best attachments to add.

QBZ95-1
Assault operators may be the only ones capable of using the QBZ95-1, but the mighty rifle offers a concrete argument for playing them. Already one of the most stable guns in the game, the best QBZ95-1 loadout accentuates its strengths, turning it into an absolute beamer at range. Sporting a respectable 679 RPM fire rate out of the box, you’re going to want to bring plenty of ammo for this assault rifle build.

K416
A Support class special, the K416 is the perfect weapon if you’re prone to missing the odd bullet here and there. Boasting a monstrous 880 RPM fire rate, the K416 is only outstripped by the AS Val in the AR department. However, from our experience, the K416 offers much better mileage when taking down multiple enemies at a time thanks to its beefier stock ammo capacity. The only downside is its low range, which this build improves slightly. That being said, we’d still recommend sticking to closer-range engagements with this weapon.

PKM
We can’t let assault rifles have all the fun, and the LMG championed by heavy-duty Engineer operators Shepherd and Uluru has pleasantly surprised us with its controllability when souped up with the best PKM build. If you’re finding it a bit too easy to laser people with this build, then you can try slapping on the PKM Extended Magazine for an extra 50 rounds.

VSS
With ARs being as powerful as they are, even at a distance, it’s hard to recommend a traditional bolt-action sniper. Fortunately, Delta Force has a great selection of Marksman Rifles available for Recon operators Luna and Hackclaw, and the VSS is our pick of the bunch. The best VSS build maxes out this fast-firing rifle’s range while bumping the control. The result is a weapon that can hold its own against even the most meta loadouts. If you want to cover all your bases on the optics front, slap on an offset sight, or switch out the 3x scope for something more modest like the Russian Accuracy Scope x2.
