Key Takeaways
- Amazon has revealed 18 games that Prime subscribers will be available to claim at no additional cost throughout December.
- The first five games, which includes Tomb Raider: Underworld, are already available to claim.
- Other big titles dropping later in December include Quake 2 and Predator: Hunting Grounds.
Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus get all of the attention when new games are added to their respective services each month, but Amazon continues to do its monthly thing and might well be the best deal in subscription gaming. Prime subscribers get a lot of games to claim and keep each month at no additional cost, and while December’s haul is a little lighter than usual, there will still be 18 games up for grabs over the course of this month.
Amazon confirmed the 18 games Prime subscribers will be able to claim on Monday along with the dates on which the games will be available to claim, and there are once again some heavy hitters among them. As usual, the first batch of games is already available to claim and play right now.

There are already five games you can pick up now if you have an active Prime subscription, the biggest of them being Tomb Raider: Underworld. After including Tomb Raider: Anniversary in its November offerings, and Tomb Raider: Legend before that, if you were a Prime subscriber and claimed those two games when they were being given away for free, you can now head to Prime Gaming to complete the trilogy.
Prime Subscribers Will Have 18 Games To Claim Throughout December
Five Of Them Are Already Available
Joining Underworld in the group of five games available right now are Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Overcooked 2, Dredge, and Call Of Juarez: Gunslinger. The wait for even more games isn’t long though with two more dropping this Thursday – Quake 2, and Disney Pixar Wall-e. I was not aware Wall-e even got its own video game but will definitely be giving it a try later this week since it’s free to claim.
Five more games will be free for Prime subscribers next week on December 12 with Planet Of Lana the biggest name among them, and then another five the week after that on December 19 with the underrated Predator: Hunting Grounds that particular drop’s headliner. Since the holidays will hit the week after that, there’s only one more game coming on December 26 – The Town Of Light. The full list of games hitting Prime this month, and the dates they’ll be available, can be found below.

The biggest upside to claiming games through Prime is that they are yours to keep forever. Game Pass titles come and go, and PS Plus games aren’t playable if your subscription lapses. Even if you claim these games today and your Prime sub expires tomorrow, the games will still be in your library and playable. The downside is only the PC versions of all these games are available through Prime.
Prime Gaming
Prime Gaming is one of many perks Amazon Prime subscribers get while their subscription is active. Subscribers get access to a number of free games each and every month, as well as exclusive content for games like Fall Guys, FIFA, and Call of Duty.
