The online game retailer, Fanatical, is celebrating its birthday, and that means possible prizes for you. To ring in its new milestone, the company is running a mystery game bundle prize draw where you could win a Steam Deck or a Meta Quest 3 by spending just $1. Other prizes include Twitch voucher, a Lexip Bundle, or a Fanatical Spending Spree to enjoy on our store and even if you don’t win a prize, you’ll still get a mystery game to add to your Steam collection.

The Fantatical birthday mystery key scheme works by you buying a mystery key for $1 then redeeming that key to see what you’ve won. Each key gets you a mystery Steam game and one chance to win one of the other prizes. You can also buy up to 20 keys at once, with 5, 10, 15, and 20 key bundles netting you a small saving, with the 20 key bundle costing just $13.99. Note that buying any more than 20 keys could result in you receiving duplicates of the mystery games.
Fanatical doesn’t state whether the Steam Deck you can win is an original LCD model or a newer OLED model. As we discuss in our Steam Deck OLED review, the newer model offers a number of noticeable upgrades so we’d certainly hope it’s the latter.
Meanwhile, as we found in our Meta Quest 3 review, this headset might not be at the cutting edge of VR visual quality but it’s by far the best all-round VR package, offering a great experience whether you’re tethered to a PC or using the headset on its own.
As for the games you could claim with your mystery keys, Fanatical isn’t being specific about the pool of titles but says it “features top titles from renowned publishers, spanning genres from action-packed adventures, strategic RPGs, and immersive simulations to beloved indie hits.” It also goes on to say that both “AAA giants” and “hidden gems” will be included.
The mystery bundle competition runs until December 19, with winners selected shortly after this date. Fanatical says it will reach out to winners of the prizes following this.
