In Pokemon TCG Pocket, the Arbok and Pidgeot deck is a budget/F2P friendly deck build that players can build with ease, due to only requiring two evolution lines and no ex cards. In fact, as of Genetic Apex, there are no Dark Type ex cards in the game, so Arbok is one of the best bets when it comes to incorporating a Dark Type structure into your deck. It is by no means incredibly overwhelming in damage or HP, but Arbok does possess the unique ability to ‘lock’ the opponent’s Active Pokemon into play with its Corner attack, which stops the enemy from being able to retreat and switch in their next Pokemon to pivot strategies. Some decks and strategies, such as Blaine/Moltres and Gardevoir revolve around switching out Pokemon at some point, so this can be a good disruptor.

Furthermore, including Sabrina in the deck alongside Arbok’s Corner move means that you can first play Sabrina when your opponent has a powerful/ace Pokemon in play, forcing a switch to something (hopefully) weaker in terms of HP and damage. You can then use Arbok’s corner to ‘lock’ this Pokemon into play, forcing the opponent to keep their weaker/alternate Pokemon in play, which can give you an opportunity to secure an easy knockout to secure a point.

Pidgeot comes in to play as the second evolution line ran alongside Arbok in this deck, as it has the Drive Off ability – essentially doing the same as the Sabrina card, and forcing your opponent to switch their Active Pokemon with a benched Pokemon. Players can start with Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot in play, as both the first and second evolutions only require one Energy for their attacks, then evolve into Pidgeot to start Drive Off, which should also be around the time in which the enemy gets their ace Pokemon into play. Players can use Pidgeot and/or Sabrina to force a switch, and then X Speed to assist in pivoting Arbok into the active spot, using Corner to both chip away at damage, as well and keep the bench Pokemon locked into play.
