Bethesda confirmed it was working on an Indiana Jones game in 2021 and almost four years later, that game is finally almost here. Indiana Jones and The Great Circle will be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC on December 9, 2024, which means you’ve still got some time to place your pre-orders for the final video game blockbuster of the year.

There are three editions of The Great Circle to choose from, and we’ve got everything you need to know about all of them detailed below so you can make an informed decision before placing your pre-order. There’s also a pre-order bonus to be had that makes it worth your while to commit to Indy before release day. Even if you plan on playing The Great Circle through Game Pass, you’ll want to check out some of the info below since only the standard edition will be available via the subscription service.

Differences Between All Three Editions Of Indiana Jones And The Great Circle

Regardless of which edition you choose, provided you place your order before release day, you will get The Last Crusade Pack with your copy of The Great Circle. As the name of the pack implies, the pre-order bonus includes Indy’s outfit from The Last Crusade as well as his whip. If you want anything more with your copy of The Great Circle though, you will need to grab the Premium or Collector’s Edition of the game.

Both of the more expensive editions include three days of early access. That means you’ll have a whole weekend to play The Great Circle before everyone else starts playing. Even those with Game Pass won’t be able to embark on a new Indiana Jones adventure until December 9. If you’re dead set on going the whole hog, there’s a Collector’s Edition which, among other things, includes an old-school globe you can store things inside.

Playing And Upgrading Indiana Jones And The Great Circle On Game Pass

Since The Great Circle is a timed Xbox console exclusive, that means it will be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass For PC from day one. As noted above, only the standard edition of the new Indy game will be available on Game Pass. However, if you want to play the Premium Edition, you won’t have to spend the full $100 for a new copy of the game.

If you have Game Pass and you want the pre-order bonus, three days of early access, and the other stuff that doesn’t come with the standard edition, you can pay the difference via The Great Circle’s Premium Upgrade. Available now on the Xbox Games Store and other third-party retailers, the upgrade costs $34.99, so the same as the difference between the price of the standard and Premium Edition.
