Fortnite: Kickstart Quests & Rewards

Epic Games likes to start each Fortnite season with a set of Kickstart Quests. Not only are they a great way to introduce players to everything that was added with the season update, but they also grant them a nice XP boost so they can start unlocking their first few Battle Pass rewards.

Battle Royale Kickstart Quests

How to complete

Perform Wall Scrambles by jumping while running towards a wall (5)

To perform a Wall Scramble, players must run (without sprinting) towards a wall and then jump onto it; this will allow them to run up the allow. Wall Scrambles are particularly useful in Fortnite Zero Build.

Perform Roll Landings by holding the Jump button before landing (5)

If players press the Jump button just as they’re about to hit the ground during free fall, they can perform a “Roll Landing”, which will cause their character to do a front roll, a move that can prevent serious fall damage.

Perform Ledge Jumps by jumping near the edge of a ledge while sprinting (5)

If players are about to go over a ledge while sprinting, they can press the Jump button to increase the length of their jump, as their character will use the ledge to boost it.

Perform Wall Kicks by jumping near walls (5)

Gamers can now wall jump in Fortnite, but unlike Mario games, here it’s called Wall Kick. To do this, they must press the Jump button while next to a wall. They can do this various times as long as the strcuture allows it and reach impressive heights.

Use Sprite Shrine to reveal nearby Sprites in different matches (3)

When players approach a Sprite Shrine in Fortnite, they can interact with it reveal the location of the Sprites that are closeby. Players must do this in three different matches to complete this quest.

Catch different Sprites in a single match (3)

Sprites can be found all over the Battle Royale map, but they are most commonly located close to Sprite Shrines. Players must catch three of them in a single match to complete this quest. Here is where they can find Sprite Shrines and, therefore, increase their chances of spotting Sprites:

Return Sprites to a Sprite Shrine to receive a Boon (3)

Once players have picked up a Sprite, they must return it to a Shrine, which will give them precious loot; a Boon will be among the reward items.

Search Typhoon Blade Stands or Elemental Chests (5)

There are two unique container types in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1: Typhoon Blade stands and Elemental Chests. These containers can be found at major POIs, but to increase your chances, we recommend visiting the following locations: Hopeful Heights, Shogun’s Solitude, Lost Lake, and the vault at Nightshift Forest.

Damage opponents with the Typhoon Blade (1,000)

Players can found the Typhoon Blade in Fortnite as floor loot, taking down hostile enemies, or searching containers. Once they’ve obtained it, they must deal a total of 1,000 damage to any type of enemy (player or AI) to complete this quest.

Visit Pumped Power, Nightshift Forest, and Masked Meadows (3)

These three POIs are located on completely different parts of the map, so gamers will have the opportunity to visit the various biomes in Chapter 6 Season 1 as they complete this quest. Here is where these named locations can be found:

  • Pumped Power – northeastern part of the map
  • Nightshift Forest – midwestern part of the map
  • Masked Meadows – southeastern part of the map

Kickstart Quest Rewards

Unfortunately, the Chapter 6 Season 1 Kickstart Quests don’t offer any cosmetic rewards. Players will receive 15,000 XP for each Chapter 6 Season 1 Kickstart Quest they finish. In total, they can earn up to 150,000 XP for their efforts, which is worth nearly two account levels in Fortnite.

Thankfully, most quests can be completed simply by playing Fortnite, so players won’t have to go out of their way to finish them.
