These armor, beasts, and machines are way too cool to be true.

Another aspect that gives you a glimpse of each character’s unique personality is their phone case, which is easily missable but an incredible detail. While it is a minor detail, it makes a huge impact, as you get to see how each character handles personalizing their phone. Though, some are much better at this aspect than others…

Updated December 1, 2024, by Seth Parmer: Since we last updated this list, seven characters have entered the enormous roster of Honkai: Star Rail, allowing us to revisit it and add Feixiao, Jade, Jiaoqiu, Lingsha, Moze, Rappa, and Yunli into the mix. And let us just say that most of these characters have incredible phone cases that are worth checking out and go toe-to-toe with some of the best available in the game!

Dan Heng

Dan Heng's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

While we’d like to say that Dan Heng’s case isn’t that bad, the thing is, he doesn’t seem to have one on his phone, which sort of throws a wrench into things.

Due to this, he simply sits at the bottom of the list regarding who has the best phone case but moves him to the top of the list for people with way too much confidence in their ability to never drop their phone.

Dan Heng’s awesome Imbibitor Lunae form also shares the same caseless phone, somehow making it much worse. Like, dude, you’re a Vidyadhara with some of the best threads in the game and *
this
* is what you roll with? Unreal, Dan Heng. Unreal.

Blade

Blade's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Blade is a dominant character and the current Banner Character in Honkai: Star Rail. However, his phone case is absolutely horrendous and is only better than Dan Heng’s out of technicality since he doesn’t even have a case on his phone.

His phone case is a gradient that goes from black to dark blue to dark red… and that’s it: no design, touch of personality, or anything of the sort. Imagine being one of the most formidable characters money can buy to show up with this in your pocket. Yikes.

Hanya

Hanya's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Hanya, much like the previous two entries, is a tremendously fascinating and devastating character who somehow drops the ball when it comes to decking out her phone case despite having one of the best attires and aesthetics in the Honkai: Star Rail.

While there is at least a large flower decal in the bottom left corner and some diamonds here and there, the case is overall rather boring, with not much going on that highlights her personality or interests. It’s not the worst one, but it’s nowhere near the best.

Xueyi

Xueyi's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Being the sister of Hanya, Xueyi shares a very similar phone case as a result, leading us to similar conclusions. However, in Xueyi’s case, she does a slightly better job at pulling it off, as the white background allows for the gold, red, and blue colors to pop a bit more, making it stand out better than her sister’s.

Overall, the design is virtually the same, aside from the positioning of the flower design and the orientation of the camera. So, while better, it’s only by a slim margin, placing her slightly above her sister and below most of the other roster.

Aventurine

Aventurine's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Aventurine is the latest and hottest entry to the rapidly expanding roster of Honkai: Star Rail, and has a clean and elegant fit of threads to help make him stand tall amongst the rest. So, naturally, this must mean he has a killer phone case to complement that fact, right? …Right?

Honkai Star Rail: All Abundance Characters, Ranked

If you’re looking for a healer for your team in Honkai: Star Rail, these are some of your best choices!

And, while it isn’t horrible, it isn’t necessarily what we’d call great or even good. It’s mostly a gold phone case with a diamond pattern, offering splashes of blue and white with a blue diamond where the camera would be. It’s fine, but definitely the least impressive of his overall design.

Gallagher

Gallagher's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

We should like Gallagher’s phone case way more than we do, as it is themed to look like a bottle of alcohol and has a decent use of colors and personality, but it comes across as a bit too generic overall. And, while it is certainly much better than everything before it, it’s not nearly as good as the others that come after it, placing it near the bottom of the list.

The label that covers the scuffed and marked brown bottle design adds much-needed color to the case, but nearly enough to make it look interesting or rise above being just ‘fine’ in the grand scheme of things. Even if Gallagher is a sick character overall!

Boothill

Boothill's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Boothill is the newest gunslinging cyborg cowboy to enter the massive roster of Honkai: Star Rail. So, naturally, his phone case needed to have a large bullet hole decal on it, along with a black and red color scheme. While not the worst case out there, it certainly lacks creativity.

To give credit where credit is due, the pendant behind the bullet hole is also incorporated into his overall design, along with the isotoxal stars found near the top of the case. It’s just that the overall design and execution of it all is bland, leaving us no choice but to place him lower on the list.

Moze

Moze's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Moze’s phone case isn’t necessarily bland as it is uninspired, featuring a black and red gradient with a distressed crow placed in the center along with three white dots near the left-hand side. The crow is pretty cute, but the overall design and execution of the case leave much to be desired.

Granted, Moze is a Shadow Guard and is essentially made to be edgy, but this case just doesn’t hit. It’s better than the nothing-burger that is Dan Heng’s case, but that bar is pretty much in the ground at this point. A fine case but nothing too special to place it any higher.

Seele

Seele's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

On the other hand, Seele takes care of her phone and has provided a case for it, and while it won’t necessarily blow you away, it does its job and fits her overall personality and abilities.

When you first meet Seele, she can appear overly serious and strict, but as you spend more time with her, you will quickly learn that she’s a big softy once you crack that hard exterior of hers. This case signifies that excellently and ties into her Ultimate, further showcasing her personality.

Gepard

Gepard's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Like Seele’s, Gepard’s phone case is fine for what it is but pales in comparison to the others. Though having a giant shield cover the back of your phone signifies it’s protected, it only makes sense with Gepard, as no one else would ever rock this.

Furthermore, while this case isn’t terrible, the colors are sort of dull, leaving out the deep blues that highlight his outfit and ice-based abilities. If there were splashes of blue here, it would likely be a bit higher, but nonetheless…

Bronya

Bronya's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Bronya’s phone case is where things start picking up. Still, it falls victim to many of the same issues the others do, lacking meaningful personalization by focusing purely on what they’re capable of during combat.

It’s undoubtedly flashier than the ones listed before, but we would have loved seeing more of her personality injected into the overall design. That said, we still really enjoy the overall look of the phone case and the colors used.

Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Jing Yuan is the star of the new banner and has one of the best aesthetics overall in the game, which is why it’s surprising his phone case doesn’t hit the same highs his outfit or flashy combat animations do.

The Best DPS Characters In Honkai: Star Rail, Ranked

Here are all the best DPS characters that you can use to clear hard content like Memory of Chaos or Swarm Disaster in Honkai: Star Rail!

Overall, Jing Yuan’s phone case is solid, but it’s a bit too much for our taste. The lion’s head is an excellent touch, but there’s just too much going on in such a small space that it seems overly crowded.

Argenti

Argenti's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

While we do pride characters for stepping up to the plate and blasting their full personality on display with their phone case, there is such thing as having too much going on, which is the case with Argenti’s.

The elegant picture frame with three large, gold roses on its frame, along with the single red rose in the center of the frame, is definitely a choice, but one that will get you into the bottom half of the list. Unfortunately. Sorry, Argenti.

Himeko

Himeko's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Himeko’s is essentially the direct opposite of Jing Yuan’s, leaning heavily on simplicity while showcasing a bit of their personality without going overboard.

This phone case has a lovely gold trim over a white background, with golden flowers making up most of the bottom half, giving you a glimpse of the elegance and power of Himeko with very little design. It’s straight to the point and packs a punch, making it the best one so far.

Ruan Mei

Ruan Mei's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Ruan Mei’s phone case is extremely solid overall. It offers a nice array of colors, ranging from dark blue to muted gold to light pink and even a nice cyan, all with a double-helix spiraling up the center of it. The diamond design over the camera is also an excellent choice that helps bring everything together.

And while we like this case a lot, it just feels out of place with her overall design, which has lots of flowers, elegance, and personality built into it. On its own, this phone case is really good, but we feel it could have been much better for a character such as Ruan Mei!

Luocha

Luocha's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Luocha may be the current prize in the gacha machine, but his phone case is a little underwhelming when it comes to his overall aesthetic and appearance. While the colors and design match, we were hoping for a bit more personalization. That’s not just what he’s wearing but now on his phone.

Overall, it’s not a terrible phone case. We just prefer the ones that have a bit more personality in them, such as the cutesy animals, anime characters, or things that they consider precious to them, such as a pet or their passions.

Luka

Luka's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Luka’s phone case is very personalized, with a cartoon-like portrayal of his personality and interests. It’s very similar to Sampo and Hook’s cases (which you will see very soon), making it stand tall above all the others listed thus far.

Honkai: Star Rail – Four Star Character Tier List

Honkai: Star Rail has a bunch of four-star characters to choose from, and all of them can be ranked into different tiers based on their value.

Still, something seems off about all these cases, and Luka having what is seemingly the word ‘YOLO’ on the back of his case in edgy lettering makes us refuse to put it any higher than here. What a cringy thing to do, Luka. Shame on you.

Sampo

Sampo's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

We have to be honest; we struggled with the placement of this one strictly due to Sampo having himself on the back of his own phone case. But, the absurdity of the design saved its chances of being placed any lower than it is.

Like, come on, Sampo riding on a moped while throwing a bomb with a heart on it in front of him like he’s playing Mario Kart is delightfully him, and OF COURSE he would have himself front and center of his phone case, have you met him?!

Rappa

Rappa's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Rappa is more or less in the same boat as Sampo, placing herself front and center on her own phone case, which is inarguably weird. Nonetheless, hers is much better, as it has a sort of graffiti and early 80’s era hip-hop theme, making it at least ooze some personality.

The colors also pop, offering splashes of orange, green, and purple that gel well with the dark reds and Rappa’s pink hair. All jokes aside, this phone case isn’t half bad. It’s just Sampo is… well, he’s Sampo, so we cannot go easy on him for pasting himself on his phone case, which is why she sadly gets dragged down with him.

Hook

Hook's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Hook runs into the same problems as Sampo and Rappa (sorry, Hook), but hers is much cuter and more forgivable since she is a literal child who clearly drew it herself. As far as we’re concerned, Sampo commissioned someone to draw himself for his own phone case, making his marginally worse.

Nonetheless, Hook’s case is adorable and fits her upbeat and warm personality, making hers delightful compared to some of the others listed thus far.

Misha

Misha's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Misha joins the ranks of cutesy characters in Honkai: Star Rail, who proudly have a chibified version of themselves on their phone cases. In this regard, it’s not as bad as some of the others but isn’t going to necessarily crack the top ten or anything of that nature.

What makes this case pop above some of the others is the beautiful night sky with bright stars twinkling all through it. This contrasts well with the snowcovered bottom portion, which has Misha sitting with her back turned toward us, taking in the view. Overall, it’s a great phone case!

Serval

Serval's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Serval’s phone case is the definition of simplicity drenched with personality, and we love it. The record with a lightning bolt striking its center showcases everything you need to know about this rock icon that uses Lightning Damage in combat to best her foes.

The colors used on Serval’s phone case are also excellent, giving you a gradient of blues for the background that’s complimented with various shades of purples and pinks that bring the entire thing together.

March 7th

March 7th's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Our funny, quirky, and undeniably lovely teammate, March 7th, has one of the best phone cases in Honkai: Star Rail, and one of the more simplistic ones at that. If you’ve had her in your party for any period of time, you will recognize the flower and colors almost immediately.

Nihility is one of the dominant paths in Honkai: Star Rail, and here are the best characters you can use from it.

Light blues and pinks and a highlight of yellow make everything about this case pop, giving you a taste of her bubbly and bright personality. There’s never a dull moment with March 7th, and this case encapsulates her seemingly endless energy.

Dr. Ratio

Dr. Radio's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Despite the clever wordplay and interesting color scheme, Dr. Ratio’s Picasso-themed phone case is only good, not great, placing it toward the middle of the pack. That said, it is still a very solid case overall that should be praised by his fans.

Picasso was heavily into the golden ratio, which translated into his works, so having a man named ‘Dr. Ratio’ rock a phone case inspired by Picasso is brilliant, and we commend whoever thought that up at HoYoverse. The colors are also very smartly placed, but that’s beside the primary point of this case.

Jiaoqui

Jiaoqui's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Another example of a simplistic case that goes a long way is Jiaoqui’s, having a chili pepper act as the magnetic needle on a compass, with splashes of blue, white, and pink swirling behind the dark red case. This is a very solid phone case overall and fits his personality and combat type wonderfully.

With that said, it is far from the best of the best, but it’s still excellent and perfectly encapsulates the type of character Jiaoqui is. He doesn’t take himself too seriously and wears his heart on his sleeve. But can be spicy and deceitful if you give him the opportunity.

Yanqing

Yanqing's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Despite not being as bright or bubbly as March 7th’s phone case, Yanqing’s is a remarkable design that shows off his flashy yet elegant nature. The swirls of blues and purples, unique trim around the camera lens, and a flock of doves make this one of the best offerings in the game.

Much like Yanqing’s attire and combat animations, his phone case displays a brilliant combination of colors and designs, reflecting his excellent swordsmanship skills and abilities that make him nearly unmatched in battle.

Herta

Herta's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Herta’s phone case can be hit or miss for many, but we love it as it captures everything you need to know about her in an elegantly designed pattern. The Gothic Maid design nails Herta’s overall vibes and outfit, complete with splashes of blue and purple, adding some contrast to the mix.

Additionally, the purple flowers hanging over the edges of the phone gives this design bonus points as it’s seemingly something she put on her phone herself as a way to express herself further. Herta crushed it with her case and deserves all the praise it gets.

Sparkle

Sparkle's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

As you can tell by the vast majority of the list… we love cute and personality-driven phone cases here, and Sparkle checks all of those boxes, but to a lesser extent to some of the others placed much higher than her. Nonetheless, her phone case is a homerun as far as we’re concerned.

The fox-shaped hole punch for the camera already makes this case phenomenal, and that’s before getting into the cute bow-tie collar with a bell attached to it and a floral design that makes the red and purple colors pop against the jet-black background. This phone case is adorable, and we love it to pieces!

Black Swan

Black Swan's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Black Swan’s entire design is breathtaking, as she has various shades of purple that mix well with highlights of black, splashes of blue, and even some pink tossed into the mix. And, as you may have been able to guess, that carries over perfectly with her phone case.

Her phone case takes on a stained glass aesthetic, offering a wide gradient of purples with some smartly placed splashes of pink, blue, and white. The star-like design in the center of the case is also excellent, making it one of our favorites!

Fu Xuan

Fu Xuan's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

We know we criticized several phone cases so far for having too much going on, and while Fu Xuan’s definitely falls under the same category, it somehow pulls it off quite well with a stunning offering.

The deep purples, gold, black, and white colors will always blend expertly, and the constellations highlight her personality and overall interests, making it one of the best cases in the game, certainly putting it firmly above all the others we’ve seen up to this point.

Welt

Welt's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

One look at Welt’s phone case, and one might assume he is a huge weeb (he is, and that’s one of many reasons we love him), but there’s more here than what meets the eye. The mech featured on his case is an Arahato from Honkai Impact 3rd, a game released nearly seven years ago.

Welt confidently displaying his love for mechas and gaming makes us love him even more than we already did, and the lovely red trim that goes around the entire edge of the case is just extra points at this rate. This case, much like Welt, delivers in spades.

Yukong

Yukong's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

At the moment, there is no official illustration of Yukong’s phone case, so a close-up of her holding it in her hand will have to suffice for now. And, while it’s not clear what it is, she appears to have a bird of some sort on her case, resembling the ones in her Banner Image.

This also goes hand-in-hand with her outfit, as you can see the wings on the bottom end of her dress, making it a very pretty and stylized case. While it’s not the best, it’s a pretty solid and fitting one for Yukong!

Jade

Jade's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Jade’s phone case is oddly beautiful, despite not following her stunning purple and pink color scheme, instead opting for a more green palette with hints of blue, white, and gold that help bring everything together and make each color pop and stand them on their own.

Her case features what looks like a green emerald in the background that is cracking, revealing traces of gold, with a bright blue orb in the dead center. There is also a gold ring with what appear to be gemstones on the side, along with a pure white snake wrapping itself around it. This case is awesome and fits her tremendously well!

Natasha

Natasha's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Natasha’s phone case could easily be higher due to the cuteness factor alone, but surprisingly, many phone cases are even cuter than this one. Nonetheless, let this not detract from the adorable bear with glowing mushrooms on its head. Like, just look at it. It’s so cute!

Aside from being cute, as established above, Natasha is often seen with a plush bear (specifically in her Ultimate animation), making this case all the more fitting for her. This case rules, as does Natasha, so it will naturally rank higher than the others.

Arlan

Arlan's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Much like Natasha, Arlan has the potential to be much higher than they are, but there is, oddly, another case out there with Peppy (Asta’s dog) on it. However, what makes this one particularly adorable is that the strips of tape with Peppy on it appear to cover cracks in Arlan’s phone case.

Each character in Honkai: Star Rail has a unique skill to use in combat. These have different effects based on the character, but which are the best?

What makes this case even better is that his case is cracked and not the phone itself, showcasing the importance of having a case on your phone – *cough* Dan Heng *cough* – and how they actually work. The Peppy tape is also great, so this is a no-brainer top-tier case.

Pela

Pela's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Similar to Welt’s Arahato phone case, Pela’s also features characters from another game, except the boys from the Tears of Themis are prominently featured on the back of her phone. If you follow Pela’s story, you will know she doesn’t shy away from husbandos, and this proves it.

For who she ‘stans,’ it’s unknown, but this case seemingly implies she loves all of them equally, having no strong bias toward one specific member, even though we all know Vyn is the best one… *ahem* Anyways, this case slaps, and we adore it.

Topaz And Numby

Topaz and Numby's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

This phone case ran the risk of being placed far lower than it is currently. However, it has extra bells and whistles with its off-centered diamond camera cutout and lovely deep red and gold design with cute, sleeping Warp Trotters near the bottom center.

Overall, this is an exceptional phone case that highlights Topaz and Numby’s relationship and personality expertly and we absolutely love it. This is definitely better than the others we’ve seen so far, but it falls short of the others that remain.

Firefly

Firefly's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Firefly’s phone case is a perfect example of simplicity done well, as it is literally just a fairy standing in the center of the case surrounded by fireflies, with a lovely black, yellow, and white color scheme. It’s oddly pretty for how very little there is going on here.

We adore this case to pieces, and it fits her overall personality and vibes, giving it bonus points. There’s something so calming, beautiful, and warm about this case that we cannot get enough of, bringing her near the upper half of the list!

Tingyun

Tingyun's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Being the representative Foxian character of Honkai: Star Rail, Tingyun’s phone case is obviously going to have a fox on it, but did you think it would be this cute? This case is everything it needed to be and more.

Tingyun is an elegant character with a soft and compassionate heart, and her phone case oozes that energy. Everything from the unique gold trim around the camera lens to the deep red background to the adorable fox gives you all the information you need about her.

Bailu

Bailu's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Despite being a High Elder of the draconic Vidyadhara race, Bailu has many properties similar to underwater creatures, making her a unique and fascinating character. As such, her phone case is equally as interesting, making it one of our favorites so far.

The design around the camera lens is comparable to a fish’s eye, going hand-in-hand with her overall design, while the design on the case itself resembles Bailu’s dragon tail and hair that create a heart in the center, encapsulating her character wonderfully.

Guinaifen

Guinaifen's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Guinaifen’s phone case is truly something special in Honkai: Star Rail, but it is simple enough to keep it from being placed any higher. Still, the red and turquoise color pattern with the Diting on the back does more than enough to capture her personality and interests.

Honkai: Star Rail – Five Star Character Tier List

When there are different characters in a game, there’s bound to be a difference between their power level, which puts them in different tiers.

The flower camera cutout is also an excellent touch, adding a bit of flare to a pretty standard phone case. Still, there’s something about the color scheme and the way everything is outlined that has us willing to place it much higher than the others so far.

Kafka

Kafka's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Kafka has always been an elegant and beautiful character, and her phone case reflects that quite well. The vinyl sleeve with a large, single red camellia flower on it is gorgeous. The rouge background and black diamond camera hole are also spectacular highlights.

While not quite the best phone case in the game, we feel this more than brings out Kafka’s personality and interests, but in an oddly subtle yet elegant way. We love pretty much everything here.

Acheron

Archeron's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

While we have relentlessly torn down most phone cases that have a lack of color or pitch-black backgrounds, not all of them are bad if you can contrast the bland color scheme with a cool design or some personality, something that Acheron does expertly with her phone case.

The weaving spine that cuts diagonally across the black void that is Acheron’s phone case is only made better by the pin-wheel-like flower in the dead center, which is capped off with a red star. This makes a relatively bland and generic phone case pop in ways we weren’t expecting, skyrocketing it toward the top of the list!

Feixiao

Feixiao's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Perhaps one of the most badass phone cases in Honkai: Star Rail goes to Feixiao, as it features her fox-like spirit on the back that appears when she devours the Crimson Moon during some of her actions. It’s incredibly sick and one of the best-designed cases in the game.

This case deserves to fly up the rankings. The detail on the spirit with the deep and bright bolts of lightning, along with the fierce expression on its face, make it a tremendous phone case all around. Fitting for a character such as Feixiao. Even though it barely missed cracking the top ten.

Qingque

Qingque's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Qingque’s phone case is simple yet effective and extremely adorable, and if you’ve been following this list this far, you know that it checks all of our boxes. The flower design around the camera lens is fantastic, and the blue-ish green background is very soothing to look at.

Not to mention the bird holding the fish leaves us with many questions that we’re okay with not having an immediate answer to. The mystery makes the case that much more enjoyable, precisely what we anticipate from the likes of Qingque.

Clara

Clara's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Clara is one of the more unique and complex characters you meet throughout the story, and the fact she was raised by an enormous, ancient mech known as Svarog makes her adorable bunny phone case surprising but not unwelcome.

Adorable doesn’t even begin to describe Clara’s phone case, and we cannot get enough of it. The bunnies also highlight her introverted and shy personality while perfectly capturing her warm and gentle heart, making it one of our favorites.

Asta

Asta's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Remember Arlan’s case from earlier that had Peppy bandages placed over the cracks of the screen and how we said there’s an even more adorable case featuring Peppy on it? Well, here it is, Asta’s phone case features her dog front and center underneath a string of stars in the night sky.

Honkai: Star Rail – The 11 Best Character Talents, Ranked

Talents are passive abilities that trigger under certain conditions in Honkai: Star Rail. Some enhance attacks, while others offer support.

Asta loves her dog Peppy, and she loves observing the galaxy, so naturally, her case will combine both of her loves, giving us one of the best ones in the game. The deep blue background and yellowish gold trim make the stars and Peppy shine bright, like Asta’s personality.

Huohuo

Huohuo's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

When there’s something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call? Huohuo! This phone case is phenomenal, and we cannot get enough of it. The clear Ghostbusters reference is adorable, making this worthy of cracking the top ten.

It’s safe to say we love everything about this case, even if the majority of it is just a black background. The reference and personality of this case and the sheer adorableness of it make it worthy of placing well above the ones before it.

Jingliu

Jingliu's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Jingliu’s case is absolutely stunning, giving us an ice wolf perched inside of a crescent moon with dreamy blues and greys, creating one of the most beautiful phone cases in the game and one worthy of being in the top ten.

Her crescent moon camera is also a tremendous touch, even if the logistics of it are a bit impractical. Overall, this case is just transcendent and mesmerizing. It’s beyond beauty, and that’s saying something for a mere phone case.

Lingsha

Lingsha's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Lingsha’s case is simply one of the best in Honkai: Star Rail and deserves some high praise. It features her bunny, Fuyuan, resting inside of a flower in front of a gorgeous white and blue background, making the red and pink of the bunny’s outline and rose jump out at you.

Everything about this phone case oozes personality and charm, and we love all of it. We especially love the adorableness of Fuyuan as it nestles itself into the flower with a cute face of coziness and contentedness. It’s adorable in every single way imaginable, and it deserves its place in the top five.

Sushang

Sushang's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Barely missing the top three is the lovely Sushang, who arguably has one of the best phone cases of the lot, showcasing three plump birds chilling on a tree branch together. If the others were adorable, this is enchanting in all the right ways.

The two sleeping birds being contrasted by the one in the middle loudly swinging its sword is beyond cute, and the colors all complement each other so well, not to mention the flower cutout around the lens. This should do the trick if you want a glimpse of who Sushang is!

Silver Wolf

Silver Wolf's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Our pick to kick off the top three is the one and only Silver Wolf, who rocks a GameBoy phone case, instantly hurtling her near the top of the list without any questions asked. Silver Wolf is the notorious gamer and super hacker of the group, so this is more than fitting for her personality.

This phone case slaps, and that’s all that there is to it. The wonderful purple, pink, and blue highlights, multi-colored D-Pad, and the classic green screen we’ve all spent too many hours peering into make this one of the best ones in the game by a mile.

Yunli

Yunli's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

For the penultimate choice of this list, we had to go with Yunli’s adorable phone case, giving us Neko Yunli, a catified version of Yunli playing with a dagger on a stick, melting our hearts with how downright precious it is. The large saucer-esque eyes on Neko Yunli seal the deal, making it one of the best offerings in the game.

She also has a tiny tiara on the top of her head, along with the bell neck ornament, which further brings home the point that this is pure art and belongs in the top two. It’s adorable, charming, and precious, and we want more Neko Yunli. We deserve more Neko Yunli!

Lynx

Lynx's phone case and character portrait in Honkai: Star Rail.

Last but certainly not least, we have Lynx, who has the most adorable phone case in the game and one that is packed to the brim with personality and cuteness. Everything from the sunflower camera lens decor to the chibi cat heads making cute and silly expressions are all 10/10.

The gradient of blues also makes everything else pop incredibly well, and don’t even get us started on the chibi cats being modeled after Lynx, Serval, and Gepard. It’s simply too adorable and deserves to be the number-one spot because of it!
