With the number of available weapons in Warzone now, you’re probably wondering what you should be using—whether to ditch your MW3 weapons or start investing and leveling up your weapons in Black Ops 6. Fortunately, adjustments have been made to ensure that weapons from both games are still viable and competitive.

The AK-47 has made a comeback, and if you’ve been playing COD for a while, you know that this assault rifle is not the easiest weapon to master and is definitely not beginner-friendly. However, it can be highly rewarding in the hands of a skilled player. This is why we’ve made a build that should help you get more kills with this AR.

This assault rifle has proven its worth in every stage of Warzone, but many players shy away from it due to its high recoil deviation. That’s why our build focuses on managing this recoil and making the gun as accurate as possible.
We start with the Muzzle Brake to help the weapon’s recoil pattern return to its original state more quickly, making it easier to control. To further reduce recoil, we add the Vertical Foregrip, which is widely considered one of the best underbarrels for recoil control due to its significant vertical recoil reduction.
One of the AK-74’s main drawbacks is its recoil, so we’re focused on minimizing it as much as possible to ensure more accurate shots. This is why we use the Fire Mod Recoil Springs to further reduce recoil.
However, if you’re comfortable with your skills,
feel free to switch it to the 5.45x39mm Overpressured
to increase Bullet Velocity.
The Willis 3x optic is an obvious choice here, and it’s probably the best, as you’ll need some form of magnification. Most of the fights you’ll engage in with the AK-74 will be at medium or long range, so ensuring accuracy is key.
The only attachment we use to enhance the AK-74’s damage and bullet velocity is the Reinforced Barrel. This AR already excels at dealing high damage, particularly in mid- to long-range gunfights, so we don’t need to focus a lot on this aspect, especially in Warzone.
Try to mount the AK-74 whenever
shooting from a distance to further reduce recoil.

With this AK-47 loadout, you don’t have a dedicated short-range weapon, but don’t worry, ground loot in Season One is solid. You can easily pick up a KSV or a Jackal PDW, preferably purple or gold, and you’ll be good to go.
For perks, it’s your usual combo: Survivor and Quick Fix for faster health regeneration, and Alertness so you stay aware of your surroundings. Since most of the AK-47 fights will be at a distance, this setup ensures you’re ready for anything.
