Fortnite cosmetics come in all sorts of forms, shapes, and sizes, so of course, there are some weird looking skins in the game. With the Item Shop increasing in size as well as the fact that collabs, packs, and passes have become more and more popular, the number of cosmetics has gone through the roof in the past couple of years.

Fortnite: 18 Rarest Skin in 2024
Fortnite celebrates its 7th anniversary in 2024, but within that time, there are still some skins that haven’t returned in over half that time.
Fortnite has so many skins available that give players the ability to find something that fits their personality. Some of these skins are pretty hilarious-looking while others are just downright terrifying and have different customization options that make them even stranger. Fom terrifying clowns to walking food, here are the weirdest skins in Fortnite.
Updated on November 30, 2024, by Ashely Claudino: There is a wide range of skins in Fortnite, and they will suit just about anyone’s taste. From funny to creepy to eerie to weird, the game has got it all. This list has been updated to meet current guidelines and improve its readability so views can have a more pleasant experience while navigating through it.
10 Nite Nite
Part of the Party Parade Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 5
- Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
The Nite Nite skin is very creepy, and it’s downright scary for those who hate clowns, but it’s also clear that there is a weird vibe to it.
If gamers choose to play with the mask on, they will undoubtedly scare anyone who comes across their path. However, if they choose to play with mask off, they’ll look like a weird clown wielding a gun in a Battle Royale game.
9 Rippley vs Sludge
Part of the Slurp Squad Set
- Released in: Chapter 2 Season 1
- Price: 950 V-Bucks (Battle Pass exclusive)
If the Kool-Aid man had a skin in Fortnite, this would be it. Rippley vs Sludge was part of the Chapter 2 Season 1 Battle Pass, and it included two customization options that were only unlockable through challenges, allowing players to unlock its red and purple variants.

Fortnite: 7 Best Team Leader Skins, Ranked
Cuddle Team Leader is one of the most iconic Fortnite skins, and it has had its share of cosmetic variants – here are the very best.
This was one of the first Slurp-themed cosmetics, and it’s arguably one of the strangest. If gamers want a Slurp cosmetic that doesn’t look as weird they might opt for any of the skins in the Slurp Legends Pack for example.
8 Lil Whip
Part of the Two Scoops Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 7
- Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
Lil Whip isn’t a bad skin at all, but like most of the other food skins in the game, it’s just downright weird. There’s no denying that it’s a creative concept, and Lil Whip does seem like a pretty cool guy. Although it’s not a practical skin to use in a serious match, it is fun to use in casual play or Creative mode.
A whole squad of Lil Whips could be terrifying AND hilarious to fight against though. It’d be fun to see more customization options for Lil Whip with different flavors of ice cream. Thankfully, gamers have Lil Split, the Peely version of Lil Whip, if that’s their cup of tea – this one includes five additional styles but is only available for those who got the OG Season Battle Pass.
7 Twistie
Part of the Hot Air Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 8
- Price: 1,200 V-Bucks
There’s fun-weird and then there’s creepy-weird, and Twistie and her counterpart, Bendie, are without a doubt the latter, which is why they made it into our list of top creepy skins in Fortnite.

Fortnite: Best Marvel Collabs
Fortnite and Marvel have a great relationship which has seen fans rewarded with some incredibly nostalgic events and amazing comic book skins.
Staring into those googly eyes is terrifying and the way that its character model is posed in the Item Shop is what can really make players’ skin crawl. If we put the unease it causes aside, we can conclude that the one positive thing about the skin is that it’s quite creative just like Lil Whip.
6 Beef Boss
Part of the Durrr Burger Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 5
- Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
Beef Boss is another very strange skin based on food that appeared back in Chapter 1 Season 5. He’s the mascot and owner of the Durrr Burger restaurant that appeared in several different locations on the Chapter 1 Fortnite map, such as Greasy Grove and Neo Tilted.
Like the Tomatohead skin, it has an interesting concept, but it’s quite strange when spotted in-game. His eyes are probably the weirdest part of the skin as they’re spread extremely far apart and pop out of its head.
5 Peely Bone
Part of the Banana Bunch Set
- Released in: Chapter 2 Season 1
- Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
The regular version Peely is pretty strange already, but overall an interesting skin that isn’t too weird. However, Peely Bone is where it gets weird. This skin was featured as part of the Halloween skins from 2019, and it’s essentially the original Peely skin with half of it being his skeleton.
How a banana has a skeleton is very strange and quite creepy to think about. It also seems that Peely Bone doesn’t have a brain but oddly has intestines.
4 Meowscles
Part of the Swole Cat Set
- Released in: Chapter 2 Season 2
- Price: 950 V-Bucks (Battle Pass exclusive)
Meowscles has an extremely buff human body, but his face is that of an adorable kitten. He originated back in Chapter 2 and has since then been the inspiration for the various Meowscles available in Fortnite.

Fortnite: All Dragon Ball Skins
Fortnite often collaborates with other franchises to introduce new content for players, which has led to plenty of great Dragon Ball skins.
The concept of the skin is somewhat weird, but considering this is a game where almost anything is possible, it’s quite fitting.
3 Tender Defender
Part of the Fowl Play Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 6
- Price: 1,500 V-Bucks
Tender Defender is pretty weird but quite awesome considering it is based on the design of an eight-year-old Fortnite fan that created a concept for a “Chicken Trooper” skin.
The concept was loved by many fans and was eventually seen by the developers who later put a skin similar to the concept in the game. It was extremely wholesome and must have been a huge moment for the young fan to have his idea become an actual skin.
2 Nightshade
Part of the Pizza Pit Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 6
- Price: 950 V-Bucks (Battle Pass exclusive)
Nightshade is supposed to be the protector of the sauce and was introduced back in Season 6. It’s the female version of the Tomato Head skin, which is also a very strange skin itself.

6 Disney Villain Skins Perfect for Fortnite
The worst of Disney’s most ghastly foes are set to debut on the Fortnite Battle Royale island, and some definitely deserve a spot as the most cruel.
Out of the two, Nightshade is the weirdest version of the skin; she looks extremely unsettling and suspicious because of the giant teeth and the strange eye placement.
1 Fishstick
Part of the Fish Food Set
- Released in: Chapter 1 Season 7
- Price: 1,200 V-Bucks
Fishstick has grown quite popular with Fortnite fans over the years and various skins have been made using this model. However, that doesn’t make it any less weird.
Fishstick is a humanoid koi fish that’s trained and ready for battle. All of the variants of this skin are quite creative and continue to be pretty hilarious, albeit even stranger.
