Marvel Rivals Fans Hate Wolverine’s Default Skin

Marvel Rivals Fans Hate Wolverine's Default Skin

Key Takeaways

  • A trailer for Marvel Rivals has revealed new characters for the launch roster, including Wolverine.
  • Many fans don’t like his design, however, and are eager to see what other skins are available in the game.
  • Some complain that he’s too bulky, and aren’t loving the direction that his design has taken.

Marvel Rivals got a new trailer yesterday, revealing the remaining characters that will make up the launch roster. This means we’ll have 33 characters to choose from on launch day, a staggering amount for any hero shooter on day one.

One of these characters is Wolverine, which isn’t particularly surprising, given his popularity. However, what is surprising is the design they’ve gone for – and fans aren’t loving it, to put it mildly.

Marvel Rivals Fans Hate Wolverine’s Design

Wolverine was revealed alongside fellow new characters Squirrel Girl, Cloak and Dagger, Iron Fist, and Black Widow. His design is attracting the most attention though, and certainly not in a good way.

“That is not my Wolverine,” says Twitter user @royal_bobby24.

Others agree, with some taking issue with his entire character design. “That’s just a reskin Vander from Arcane,” says @TheZakuza.

On the whole, many are looking forward to seeing what other skins Wolverine gets, as they’re eager to swap them out as soon as possible. That won’t help those who have an issue with his character model, of course, with some arguing that he’s just too bulky here.

At the very least, it looks like the other character designs have gone down better. Marvel Rivals has its own unique artstyle, which means characters are bound to look a little differently than how we’d expect – even if the results aren’t always appreciated by fans.

We’ll get a better idea of what skins Wolverine has when Marvel Rivals launches. The game is set to go live on December 6, available on SP5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
