How To Get Boons In Fortnite

Elemental Chests

The first way to acquire Boons is to search for Elemental Chests. Elemental Chests can be found in almost every major POI on the island, and have the chance to drop any Boon upon being opened. On top of Boons, Elemental Chests can also drop Oni Masks or Typhoon Blades, making them a great way to get powerful items.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Another way to acquire Boons is by defeating Demon Warriors. These hostile NPCs are located in specific areas marked on the map, making them easy for players to locate. Upon defeat, Demon Warriors can drop either a Void Boon or a Fire Boon, providing an excellent way to secure helpful buffs.

In addition to Boons, Demon Warriors can also yield other valuable rewards, including:

Returning a Sprite to a Sprite Shrine

The final method to obtain a Boon in Fortnite is by returning a Sprite to a Sprite Shrine. Sprites are elemental critters scattered throughout the Fortnite island. To claim a Boon through this method, players need to:

  1. Locate a Sprite and pick it up by pressing the Interact Button.
  2. Deliver the Sprite to the nearest Sprite Shrine, which will be marked on the map once a Sprite is picked up.
  3. Return the Sprite to the Shrine by pressing the Interact Button again.

Returning a Sprite will grant players a specific Boon based on the type of Sprite delivered:

  • The Wind Sprite grants a Wind Boon.
  • The Water Sprite grants a Water Boon.
