Sea Of Thieves: 10 Tips To Improve Your Sailing
Sailing is a vital and important part of Sea of Thieves but it can be overwhelming at first. Here are some tips to help improve your sailing.
How to Start Skull of Siren Song Voyage in Sea of Thieves
The Skull of Siren Song voyage is a random event in Sea of Thieves that is available only in the High Seas mode. When the event is active on the server, a ghostly note will appear on the players’ ship’s mast. Players should read Captain Briggsy’s Note and accept the quest to join the hunt for the Skull of Siren Song. After accepting the voyage, Captain Briggsy will appear on the deck to introduce players to the quest and give them two X marks on the spot maps.
If players ever want to leave the event, they can interact with the same note and vote to cancel the voyage. The voting works the same as with regular voyages on the Quest Table, requiring the majority of votes from the crew.
How to Find Chest and Key of Siren Song in Sea of Thieves
One map leads to the Chest of Siren Song, and another leads to the Key of Siren Song. These maps work the same as the regular treasure maps in Sea of Thieves. Players should head to the island on the map and dig where the X mark is. When players get either of the items, they will become visible to other players via the beam of light and a marker on the world map. The objective is to get both the chest and the key so that players can open the chest and claim the Skull of Siren Song. If another crew already claimed one of the items, players can choose to either try and steal it as soon as possible or wait until the opportune moment.
While the Skull of Siren Song is on board, the ship receives a coral curse that players can see all across the hull. The curse slows the ship down, making it easier for opposing crews to catch up. At the same time, when players carry the Skull on the land, it constantly spawns coral skeletons. The Skull can also act as a weapon. When fired, it emits soundwaves similar to the Horn of Fair Winds, except it deals damage instead of pushing pirates around.
Skull of Siren Song’s weapon has a limited charge that players can use. However, if the charge is depleted, the Skull doesn’t lose any Gold value, allowing players to use it as a weapon as much as possible.
How to Deliver Skull of Siren Song in Sea of Thieves
When players get the Skull of Siren Song, they’ll see their final destination marked with a blue and purple tornado both in the open world and on the map. The tornado indicates an island where players must deliver the Skull. On the island, players should look for Captain Briggsy. While the game doesn’t show her exact location, Briggsy occasionally speaks, making it easier to find her.
Giving Captain Briggsy the Skull of Siren Song completes the voyage and grants players 50,000 Gold. Throughout the voyage, players must be mindful of other crews potentially scheming to steal the treasure. Even at the very last stop, there might be pirates hiding in the bushes, looking to ambush them.
