With the release of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, Epic Games has implemented further mechanics to bring forth the impending and anticipated 1st person mode. Now, players can flick between first-person and third-person camera perspectives with the click of a button, but only on certain weapons with certain scopes across Fortnite Battle Royale modes.

Fortnite returns with Chapter 6 Season 1 with its Hunters season, and the Battle Pass features a few original goodies among its titan collabs.

While people might debate bullet drop vs hitscan and first-person vs third-person, the beauty of Fortnite is how it allows players to mostly pick and choose. With the introduction of Weapon Canting, players can now toggle between different scopes to make sure that their aim is just the way they like it.

How to Toggle First-Person/Third-Person in Fortnite

This method only works on scoped weapons as of the release of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, but it will allow players to seamlessly toggle between perspectives so that they either aim down the scoped sight in first-person or use a third-person perspective to control the crosshairs.

To toggle between these modes, players will want to aim with L2/LT/Right-Click with a scoped weapon, and then click in L3/Shift. Doing so will allow players to swap between a first-person view where they aim through the scope, and to a third-person view where they aim with the crosshairs. It’s a great addition that will allow players to better experiment with their preferred style of shooting.
