7 Candlekeep Mysteries
A Great Anthology Of Engaging Mysteries
- Levels: 1-16
- Campaign Type: Adventure Anthology
This collection of intriguing mysteries is perfect for any Veilguard player who fell in love with the intrigue and mysteries of Minrathous or Treviso. Rather than a single campaign, Candlekeep Mysteries an anthology of single adventures, which is also perfect for a player who is newer to the world of tabletop RPGs.
The emphasis on mysteries and problem-solving rewards players who channel their inner Nev and think smartly. Meanwhile, there’s still a decent amount of combat to make sure players get to use all their characters’ skills.
6 Radiant Citadel
An Excellent Space-Fantasy Exploration
- Levels: 1-14
- Campaign Type: Adventure Anthology
Few settings channel that Tevinter charm like the Radiant Citadel. Similar to the many maze-like streets of Dock Town, there are some light cyberpunk elements here that fit perfectly with the magical aesthetic of the setting. While the Radiant Citadel is the hub of this set of adventures, many quests involve using dimensional travel, much like the Eluvians, to go to other realms and solve problems there as well.
5 Spelljammer
Another Sci-Fi Fantasy Fusion Campaign With Great Merits
- Levels: 5-8
- Campaign Type: Adventure Module And Worldbuilding Supplement
Like a lot of RPGs with futuristic flare, this campaign module provides everything a DM and their players would need to fashion a compelling, vibrant space fantasy world of their own design. The campaign is bite-sized as well, making it perfect to add to an existing adventure.

Dungeons and Dragons’ 2025 Dragon Anthology Can’t Skip One Recent Lore Expansion
Dungeons and Dragons’ upcoming dragon-focused anthology book shouldn’t ignore something an older 5e expansion brought to the table.
The interdimensional aesthetic of this title is reminiscent of Dragon Age‘s departure from the more grounded style in Origins to high-magic fantasy in later titles. It is sure to be a hit with Veilguard fans.
4 Curse of Strahd
A Grim Exploration Of The Shadowfell
- Levels: 1-10
- Campaign Type: Adventure Module
One of the strongest D&D villains, Strahd von Zarovich is an enigmatic vampire lord warped by madness, obsession, and the gruesome prison of his own design. He’s a very compelling villain and a challenging foe to players, whether they be newcomers or TTRPG veterans.
Strahd could be seen as a dark, vampiric mirror to Solas, or else any of the companion specific antagonists that dot that game. His many underlings are similarly depraved and vile when compared to Veilguard foes.
3 Princes of the Apocalypse
An Epic High Magic Adventure
- Levels: 1-15
- Campaign Type: Adventure Module
Princes of the Apocalypse has an expansive sandbox component that will perfectly suit players who enjoyed the parts of Veilguard that opened up a little bit. There are four major cults to track down in this campaign, reflecting the Venatori and aligned groups in Veilguard.
Because this is a dense campaign with lots of moving parts, new DMs should take their time with this one and not be afraid to put the session on hold to check notes. It also might be necessary to take an occasional breather to coordinate characters.
2 Planescape: Adventures In The Multiverse
A Grand Exploration Of The Multiverse
- Levels: 3-10, 17
- Campaign Type: Adventure Module
In line with the legendary and classic game in the same setting, Planescape: Adventures In The Multiverse is a great campaign for those who have set their sights far, far beyond the Material Plane, and want to see all of what the Multiverse has to offer. It is another one of those campaigns that can be a bit tricky for new DMs, as there are a lot of in-depth worldbuilding elements and many moving parts to follow. But for those that can make it work, it does come together for an exceptional adventure.
Many more bizarre, absurd, or even frightening elements of the multiverse can be found at the crossroads where this campaign takes place. It calls to mind some of Veilguard‘s stranger lore and quests.
1 Phandelver And Below: The Shattered Obelisk
A Mysterious Eldritch Threat Indicative Of The Blight
- Levels: 1-12
- Campaign Type: Adventure Module
An enhanced version of an older starter module, Shattered Obeliisk is a fully fledged adventure campaign with a great sense of wonder and exploration. However, this slowly but surely turns into eldritch terror, and for those that are comfortable, no small amount of horror.
The gradual psychic corruption of Phandalin (or a town of the DM’s own design, if they are so inclined) is reminiscent of the new, living blight that has been mastered by the Old Elven Gods in Dragon Age. This is a great campaign for players that aren’t too squeamish.
