Key Takeaways
- The countdown is on as Black Ops 6 players try and unlock the Sirin 9MM before time on the “Hit List” event runs out.
- As one player noted, it’s going to be a tough task, as players still need 16 billion eliminations.
- That said, a Sirin blueprint is being sold online, calling into question if the whole event is a gimmick with no consequences.
Time stops for no one. It’s a sentiment that we’re all too familiar with, and one that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are currently experiencing even more of. That’s because, with four days to go, there’s a chance that the Sirin 9MM will not be unlocked.
For the uninitiated, as part of the “Hit List” event, Activision and Treyarch have challenged Black Ops 6 players to complete an array of statistical milestones through in-game eliminations. So far, perks like Veteran have been unlocked, along with the Hand Cannon scorestreak. However, the real prize is the Sirin 9MM, a special weapon.
To get the Sirin, players must tally 50 billion eliminations in fewer than two weeks’ time. An elimination is counted as one per every multiplayer kill, one for every five Zombies kills and five for every Warzone kill. And as one user on Reddit pointed out, with four days to go, only 34 billion eliminations have been tallied, leaving gamers with somewhere around 96 hours to get the remaining 16 billion eliminations, a feat that some think won’t be possible.
“Positive vibes only,” one user simply wrote in response.

They Did The Math
As my colleague Sam Woods wrote earlier this week, players were averaging about 3.3 billion eliminations a day. Based off his calculations, players would miss the unlock by as few as two billion kills and as many as four billion. Of course, all of this relies on the premise that Activision is tracking things properly.
“We are unlocking it no matter what, even if we are short by 10 billion,” one Redditor wrote. “The event is not real. It’s just a countdown timer disguised as a kill counter.”
Not only that, but in true COD fashion, a blueprint for the Sirin has already been made available for purchase, even though the weapon hasn’t officially been unlocked. It would be pretty wild if the bundle was sold and the weapon wasn’t unlocked, though stranger things have happened. With the clock in constant motion, here’s hoping players can lock in and get it done.
