Fortnite Chapter 6 is getting close, now with both full trailers being released for the major update. When does Fortnite Chapter 6 start though? Epic’s been teasing out details of the new Chapter all week. However, Remix has a little longer left in it.
Since before Fortnite Remix began, we’ve roughly known about its runtime. The game is going to be in Remix for about a month. Starting with a Fortnite live event, and ending with another live event. However, as this is a new Chapter release, there are bigger changes coming. The game gets a new map, weapons, new everything. It can mean it’s a bit tricky to predict how long the update will take. Although, looking at the downtime for past Fortnite seasons we can get a good idea of how long we’ll have to wait for the new Fortnite season.
Sometimes new Chapters can drop right after a normal downtime. For others, it’s taken days for the game to come back. What can we expect this time? When does Fortnite Chapter 6 start?

When Does Fortnite Chapter 6 Start?
The next Chapter of Fortnite is due to begin on December 1st, 2024. It’s going to start up on Sunday! What time can we expect it though? Epic doesn’t give out exact release dates since the downtime can vary on the update. However, we have a few ideas based on the past.
The game is starting downtime later the event on Saturday. It’ll be offline for at least a few hours. We don’t know exactly what time downtime will end, however, it’s usually in the early hours of the morning.
Sometimes this downtime can stretch out. For example, Chapter 5 Season 2 took almost an extra day in downtime. Coming out much later thanks to issues launching the new season. Since it’s a whole new Chapter being brought into the game, we’re expecting a bigger update than normal. However, you can probably bank on Chapter 6 being available once you’re up and ready for the day on December 1st!
