Most of the Sims in Ravenwood have stories involving them exploring their relationship with death. Kai Aether is a Sim who has no interest in the spooky shenanigans around him. He’s a skeptical Sim who has no desire to meet ghosts. Unfortunately for Kai, he’s already dead.

Kai Aether is a ghost who doesn’t believe in ghosts. His Rumor talks about how he’s so anti-ghost, that he’s put up a sign telling them to keep away – all the while he’s floating around. Later Rumors imply he’s coming to terms with who he is, but his initial Rumors all revolve around how in denial he is.

Esther Gomes and Tziporah Gomes are two sisters divided by Death and Life. Both have died in the past but while Esther remains dead, Tziporah has eaten ambrosia to return to life. This has caused a permanent rift between the pair, as Esther believes Tziporah was influenced by her husband to revive herself.

If Sims goes to talk to Tziporah, they can get the other side of this story. Tziporah made the choice to eat ambrosia herself and wants to get her sister to do the same. These two remain estranged at the start of the Expansion, but hopefully, players can reconcile the pair.

Poor Zelmira Gomes. She’s a delightful character but this Ravenwood Rumor isn’t great because it revolves around them. Lady Ravendancer, the mysterious founder of Ravenwood, might start out discussing Zelmira in this rumor but what makes it great is how she talks about about Zelmira.

Lady Ravendancer mentions one Lolita Goth, a character introduced in the Sims 3 who has plagued Sims lore fanatics for over a decade. Lolita Goth’s grave can be found in the Goth family cemetery, but she doesn’t appear in the Goth family tree. Whoever she was, she’s been erased from history. Lady Ravendancer doesn’t give much information here, but knowing something about Lolita Goth is enough to make any Sims 3 fan happy.72

As it turns out, Radwan Gomes is a Sim that has undergone Reincarnation. Introduced in Life And Death, Reincarnation allows for a Sim that has reached inner peace to be reborn as a new Sim. This new Sim will have boosted skills, and ties to their past life. While players can have their Sims reincarnate, Radwan is the first pre-made character to have undergone this process.

Poor Unfortunate Olive

Players have always wondered about the exact relationship between Olive Specter and the many, many (many) Sims in her graveyard. Is she a malicious Sim bent on murder? Or is she merely a very unlucky mother trying her best? Well, this Rumor confirms that, at the very least, Olive is…apathetic about her dead friends.

Olive mentions in this Rumor that she is both a mortician and a widow multiple times over – and she’s much more interested in talking about her job. Olive does say that her husbands are “quite dearly missed”, but it comes across as an afterthought. While the Sim team obviously can’t confirm Olive murdered them, this Rumor adds credence to the theory that Olive is the ultimate Black Widow Challenge player.

One of the biggest mysteries around Olive Specter was the father of her child. The Sims 2 heavily implied she was the mother of Nervous Subject, and that the father was none other than the Grim Reaper. Life And Death confirmed both rumors in one swoop.

While Nyon (Nervous Subject in this timeline) doesn’t seem to be aware of his father’s identity, it is made clear through Ravenwood Rumors and the game itself that Olive and the Grim Reaper had a fling.
