Pokemon Fusion Fan Art Combines Eevee and Terapagos

An artistically talented Pokemon fan has answered the question of what would happen if classic Pokemon Eevee and powerful Legendary newcomer Terapagos were to be fused together, and the result is a rather unique one. While the Pokemon fan art community always seems to maintain a rather prolific output, Pokemon fusions seem to be a particularly popular niche, with this latest example capturing the attention of hundreds of fellow Pokemon fans.

Even the most casual Pokemon fans are aware of Eevee and its various evolutions, remaining the only Pokemon to this day to have eight distinct evolutionary forms. Terapagos, however, may be unfamiliar for those not caught up with the latest of the Pokemon franchise. Introduced as part of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet‘s The Indigo Disk DLC, Terapagos is responsible for the Terastal phenomenon in the game’s Paldea region and features a Normal, Terastal, and Stellar form. While details of its origin remain a mystery, an official Pokemon tweet about Terapagos gave fans a bit of insight into the latest Legendary.

McDonald’s and Pokemon are partnering up one more time in 2024, bringing a number of Pokemon TCG cards to stores.

The impressive Pokemon fusion fan art comes from a Reddit user called HoundoomKaboom, who posted their unique creation to one of the forum website’s primary Pokemon pages. While the two Pokemon have vastly different profiles, the fusion appears to take the body profile of an Eevee or its evolutions, and the kaleidoscopic color palette of Terapagos. The Pokemon fusion seems to borrow most heavily from Flareon, sporting similar tufts of hair in the same areas, albeit with significant changes. While reminiscent of another fan’s neon galaxy Eeveelutions, the fusion creates a unique piece of art that stands on its own.

The result of fusing Eevee with Terapagos appears to be a successful one among other Pokemon fans, with the post amassing well over 200 upvotes within just hours of being posted. While certainly an admirable example, HoundoomKaboom seems to have a bit of a penchant for making such creations, with the fan being quite the prolific Pokemon fusion art creator. Earlier this year, the same Pokemon fan designed 6 new fusions in the same pixel art style, featuring mashups of fan-favorite Pokemon including Milotic and Diancie, Scizor and Vikavolt, Zoroark and Darkrai, and more.

Gotta Fuse ’em All!

Although fusing Pokemon together to create new ones remains firmly planted in the realm of fan art, its seemingly constant outpouring shows just how popular the concept is. While not actually a fusion, the new Pokemon TCG Prismatic Evolution set includes special new Eevee and Eeveelution Stellar Tera Pokemon ex cards, combining the popular Pokemon with the Terastallization ability made possible by Terapagos.
