How To Upgrade The Dash And Jump In Roblox: Elemental Dungeons

How To Upgrade The Dash And Jump In Roblox: Elemental Dungeons

Some elements in Elemental Dungeons, a Roblox dungeon crawler, have mobility built into their move-set, like Galaxy, Solar and Lightning. Nonetheless, you’ll find yourself using your dash and jump throughout your entire playthough of the game, and they’ll quickly become your bread and butter for avoiding attacks and zipping through dungeons quickly.

Both of these can be upgraded, however, and today we will go through the steps required to do so, and the materials you’ll need for these upgrades. With the abilities upgraded, you’ll find yourself clearing dungeons even faster than before, so let’s dive right into what the upgrades are, and where to find them.

What Upgrades Are There For Dashing And Jumping?

A player, using Dash V2 in the Snow Castle dungeon, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

Your dash at the beginning of the game is primarily used for getting out of tough situations and avoiding attacks from enemies; this can be upgraded to Dash V2, which more than doubles the distance traveled and knocks back nearby enemies.

Your jump, on the other hand, can be upgraded twice into the Double Jump and Triple Jump respectively. These upgrades make it far easier to get to high ground, where you can stall abilities so that you can, for example, hit every enemy at once in a wave of infinite mode.

The upgrades are crucial for getting out of danger and making it easier to grind dungeons, so we recommend grabbing them
as early as you can
.

How To Get Dash V2

The "???" NPC, which crafts the Dash V2 upgrade in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

You’ll first need to make your way through the first two areas of the game, those being Ancient Tomb and Jungle. In Snow Castle, right before the boss fight, there is an NPC called “???”. Here is where Dash V2 can be acquired, and the items required are:

  • 100,000 Gold,
  • 12 Lunar Shards — Obtained from Challenge Mode dungeons,
  • Five Air Orbs — The Air element, obtained from Summons,
  • Five Evil Drives — Obtained from specific chests around the world, and
  • Two Evil Amulets — Obtained from Blood Moon Jungle dungeons.

Evil Drives and Evil Amulets are acquired in a very specific way, and only used for this recipe.

When you’re ready to craft Dash V2,
don’t kill all the enemies in the final area
. Leave at least one alive, so that you’re not teleported into the boss fight, as you can’t go back to the previous area from there even after you defeat the boss.

How To Get Evil Drives

Evil Drives are unique items that spawn in five set locations in chests, which de-spawn after you’ve acquired them.

The Chest holding the first Evil Drive in town, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

The first Evil Drive can be found in town. Once you’ve entered the town, go up the hill on the right, above the stairs. You’ll see what appears to be an abandoned mine, where you’ll need to go behind the houses, where you’ll find your first Evil Drive.

The location of the second Evil Amulet in Ancient Tomb, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

The second one can be found in the Ancient Tomb. As this dungeon is randomized, you’ll need to wait for a specific room to spawn with a set of stairs. The chest will spawn on the left corner, right next to the stairs.

The location of the third Evil Amulet in the cave of the Jungle dungeon, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

The third Evil Drive can be found in the Jungle dungeon. This dungeon isn’t randomized, so it’ll always be in the same spot. Once you’ve made it to the cave, you’ll see the chest next to the red crystal.

The location of the fourth Evil Drive in the Jungle, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

The fourth one is also in the Jungle, behind a lone hut in the final area, right before the boss. It, too, always spawns in the same spot.

The final Evil Drive is found in Snow Castle. In the sixth area, you’ll find the chest on the throne atop the stairs.

How To Get Evil Amulets

Evil Amulets, on the other hand, do not spawn in set locations. Instead, these items are very rare drops from enemies in the Jungle during a Blood Moon.

A Blood Moon, happening in the Jungle dungeon on Hardcore difficulty, in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

Blood Moons have a small chance of happening, on the Hardcore difficulty, only after the first area has been cleared. The sky will turn crimson, and the moon will be a bright red. All enemies will have double the damage, and double the health.

From here on out, very rarely, an enemy can be swapped for a Cursed version of themselves, and these drop Evil Amulets when killed. If you’re particularly unlucky, there is a chance that Cursed enemies will not spawn even if there is a Blood Moon present, so you’ll need to try again until they do.

If you’re looking to just get Evil Amulets quickly, enter the dungeon on Hardcore difficulty, and clear the first room. If nothing happens,
reset your character and retry the dungeon
until you get it. Hardcore difficulty helps here, since dying means you’ll need to retry anyway.

When you’ve gotten all the necessary items, you can head back to Snow Castle, and craft your Dash V2.

How To Get Double Jump And Triple Jump

The Wise Blind Toad NPC in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

Double Jump and Triple Jump are both acquired from the same NPC, which is the Wise Blind Toad. He sits upon an arch, which also serves as the entrance to the town, and the first challenge here is getting up atop the arch, as, without the double jump, it’s hard to get to him.

If you have an element that has a flying ability, like Galaxy or Solar, this isn’t a problem. Otherwise, you’ll need to get Dash V2 first and dash from the hill to the left of the arch.

How To Get Double Jump

The Merchant, in his cave in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

The frog will request five Frog Legs in exchange for the Double Jump ability. Frog Legs can be acquired from the Traveling Merchant, who will sometimes sell them for Gold, among other items.

The Merchant sells
four random items
that are used in general crafting, so Frog Legs might not appear every time he spawns.

The Traveling Merchant spawns at the beginning of every real-world hour and stays for 20 minutes.

The entrance to the cave where the Merchant spawns in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

He spawns in a cave, close to the town; the entrance can be found left of the town, after an arch, atop which sit two Torii gates. Once you’ve obtained five Frog Legs, you can head back to the Wise Blind Toad and get the Double Jump ability.

How To Get Triple Jump

The Skeleton Key in the Crafting menu in Roblox: Elemental Dungeons.

For the Triple Jump ability, you’ll also need Frog Legs; 25 of them this time, and 3,500 Raidium. Raidium can be obtained from doing Raids, and the amount of Raidium you get depends on the Raid you’re doing.

The best way to get Raidium is doing the Skeleton Raid, for which you will need the Skeleton’s Key. This key can be bought from the Handy Gorilla, the Crafting NPC in town. Each Key costs 800,000 gold, and doing one raid usually awards you with 2,500 Raidium, so you’ll need to at least save up to 1,600,000 Gold.

The loot table for the Raid has
four possible rewards
, one of which is the 2,500 Raidium. The Raidium reward is
the most common one
, with an 85 percent chance, but do note that you aren’t guaranteed to get it, as the other drops are Chromas for elements.

Once you’ve got the key, go into your inventory to consume it. This will put you in a lobby, where you can play with up to three other players. The Raid functions like a regular dungeon, where you’ll fight a LVL 180 Boss.

This fight is not easy
, so we recommend trying it when you’re already in the late game, around the same level as the boss.

Upon beating the Raid at least twice and collecting the Frog Legs, you can go back to the Wise Old Toad at any time and craft the Triple Jump.
