The Jungle is an area in the late game of Luma Island that presents a whole new set of challenges, swarms of enemies that want you dead, and of course, new ingredients so you can become a master of your profession. However, like the other biomes in the game, there’s no clear way of how to get there when it’s time to do so.
Before getting into it, it’s important to note that it will take quite a long time to gather everything you need to get to the Jungle in Luma Island. The materials are fairly difficult to get hold of, and you need a lot of them – and a lot of gold coins. But it’s totally worth all the trouble, so here’s how you can get to the Jungle.

Luma Island: Where to Find All Forgotten Tablets
The Forest holds three Forgotten Tablets that you need to open a mysterious door in Luma Island, and here is where you can find them all.
How to Unlock The Jungle
To unlock the Jungle in Luma Island, you need first to repair the Lighthouse in town and then repair the broken-down boat on the beach on the Farm. Each one requires a significant amount of materials, and you must have reached the Mountain before you can fix either of them.
How to Fix The Lighthouse
To get the quest to fix the Lighthouse, you need to first speak to Nelson, who can be found in the South of town. Repairing the Lighthouse itself doesn’t necessarily lead you to the Jungle, but you need to get it fixed in order to get its reward – subsequently leading you to the Jungle. The Lighthouse needs to be repaired in two stages, and here are all the materials you’ll need for both repair stages:
- 15 Silk Rope
- 30 Mountain Planks
- 10 Scaffolding
- 50 Mountain Stone Blocks
- 30 Moonstone Bars
- 20 Glass
- 15 Bags of Cement
Scaffolding can only be bought from the General Store in town, but the rest of the materials you need to repair the Lighthouse can be found in the Mountain and crafted at various tables you’ll already have on your farm at this point of the game. Once you’ve fully repaired the Lighthouse, Nelson will reward you with the Lost Jungle Island Map, which is the first step to repairing the boat on the beach.
How to Fix the Boat
You can find the boat on the beach near where you first spawn into Luma Island on the Farm. This is the last repair you need to make before you reach the Jungle, but it will also take quite some time to repair. Here are all the materials you need to fix it up:
- Lost Jungle Island Map
- Boat Motor
- Boat Propellor
- 50 Mountain Planks
- 25 Moonstone Bars
- 50 Mountain Color
As already mentioned, the Lost Jungle Island Map can be retrieved by fixing up the Lighthouse. The Boat Motor and Boat Propellor, however, are slightly different. You can find the Boat Propellor at the top of the Mountain. You’ll need to navigate through some puzzles and enemies to get there, but once you do, you’ll find a tent to sleep in, the Boat Propellor, and a shortcut back to the bottom of the Mountain.
The Boat Motor is not difficult to find as you can buy it at the Fishing Shop in town, but it’s incredibly expensive at 100,000 gold coins. This is by far one of the most expensive items in the game, and getting the gold together to buy it is likely what will take the most time in the quest to repair the Boat.
The easiest way to make this money is to remake old recipes from your profession – with the Fisherman profession offering some of the most profitable dishes. Otherwise, you can always start a new profession in Luma Island and work your way up while saving what you make from it. Once the Boat is repaired, all you need to do is hop on and journey to the Jungle Island!
