Luma Island has tons of crafting materials to keep track of. While most can be found while exploring, some unique items are tied to specific locations. The Cottage Blueprint, for instance, can only be found in the Forest biome near the beach. And if you miss it, you can’t build the Cottage on your Farm unless you go back and get it.
The Boat Propeller is one such location-specific unique item that’s needed to repair the Old Abandoned Boat near the Farm. Since repairing the Boat is one of the steps to unlocking a new biome, most players will want to get to it as soon as possible. In this guide, we’ll show you the exact location of the Boat Propeller so that you can get started on the repairs right away.

How to Find Boat Propeller in Luma Island
To find the Boat Propeller, players must first unlock the Mountain biome in the game. The Boat Propeller is located at the peak of this region. But you can’t just run in and grab it. There are plenty of difficult enemies and encounters that you’ll have to go through.
From the start point of the zone, take the path on the right and keep heading forward. You’ll have to circle around the zone to get to the top. Thankfully, the first part of the journey is simple enough. Keep heading forward, and you’ll eventually arrive at a location with a resting area and two Treasure Chests in front of it. Things are going to get difficult from this point onwards.
Go past the waterfall, and you’ll arrive at a location with Snowman on all sides. These enemies are similar to the Plant Creatures you faced in the Forest. You can either run past them while dodging their projectile attacks or take them down with your Whip. When you get to the Colored Crystal Puzzle, take the path on the right between the two stone pillars.
Getting hit by the projectiles doesn’t damage you. You only get frozen for a few seconds.
Go across the waterfall that comes up shortly to encounter the first obstacle section in the region. You will have to go across a snowy terrain while dodging the rolling snowballs. If you get hit, you’ll be sent to the beginning of the section. Memorize the snowball pattern and slowly make your way past the section. You’ll have to break a couple of Mountain Rocks to eventually reach the next waterfall.
Players will find the Fast Travel point for the Mountain region halfway through this area.
The next section will have more projectile-throwing Snowman. But this time, you’re moving through a snowy terrain which means your movement speed is slowed down significantly. But since you don’t take damage from them, getting past them shouldn’t be a problem. You’ll soon arrive at a mountain ledge with Snowballs dropping from above. Head to the wooden structure nearby and interact with it to build a Scaffolding using 10x Mountain Wood. This will allow you to go across without getting hit by the falling Snowballs.
The next section is your first encounter with an Ice Crystal enemy. This enemy uses a rotating Ice Beam that sends you to the start of the encounter the moment you get hit. Thankfully, you can use the Mountain Stones for cover. Time your run and use the cover to get across.
The icy terrain in this area will cause you to slide forward when you stop moving.

Luma Island: Where to Find All Forgotten Tablets
The Forest holds three Forgotten Tablets that you need to open a mysterious door in Luma Island, and here is where you can find them all.
The following area is again an obstacle field with rolling snowballs. Like before, memorize the pattern and slowly walk forward to avoid getting hit. On the other side, you’ll find another Unfinished Scaffolding that you can build with Mountain Wood. You’ll have to run through another obstacle section after this. Keep heading forward until you reach a second Ice Crystal enemy.
The second encounter with the Ice Crystal enemy is a lot trickier. Since there are fewer covers for you to hide behind, you’ll have to run out of its range to get past it. From the start, head forward and go to the right-most edge to get out of range of the Ice Beam. When the beam moves away, quickly run to the Mountain Stone near the middle.
From this point, you might be tempted to beeline straight for the exit. However, doing so will get you hit by the beam and sent back to the start point. Instead, run to the edge right edge of the mountain so that the beam can’t reach you. Run to the exit once the beam moves away.
You’ll have to finish building two more Scaffoldings and go past another obstacle section involving rolling Snowballs, but they shouldn’t pose much of a challenge at this point. At the end of the obstacle section, you’ll find the Boat Propeller waiting for you to pick up.
A Red Treasure Chest past the mineable Mountain Stones contains the Blueprint for Villa.
The snowy terrain that slows you down and the multiple obstacles in the Mountain biome can make it difficult for players to reach the Boat Propeller item in Luma Island. But now that you know exactly what awaits you when you’re making your way to the mountain peak, you’ll have an easier time planning your route.
