Atlyss is an RPG where you have to fight against many unique creatures and bosses. While battling against a horde of creatures is a challenge on its own, fighting against bosses can be even tougher if you’re not fully prepared for it.

Slime Diva is one of the first bosses that you can encounter in the game, but that doesn’t mean that it is going to be an easy fight. While you can get the quest to defeat her quite early on from Angela inside the Inner Sanctum, you will have to level up a little until you’re able to face this boss comfortably.

How To Find Slime Diva

You receive the quest to defeat the Slime Diva from Angela inside the Inner Sanctum, after you’ve completed the quest to defeat 15 Slimeks in Effold Terrace. The quest description only states that you have to defeat several Slimeks to make Slime Diva show up in Effold Terrace, and no other hints are given.

To get to the Effold Terrace, you will have to take the portal to the Outer Sanctum Gate. From there, head straight to the Outer Sanctum portal, which is right in front of you. After arriving in the Outer Sanctum field zone, you have to progress straight ahead until you come across a few cliffs.

Jump over the cliffs and you will see a portal ahead. Head straight to it, and you will arrive in the Effold Terrace field zone. Just as you enter the Effold Terrace area, you will notice several Slimeks straight ahead, but that is not where you have to go.

You will have to head towards the area to the left. You will encounter a group of four Slimeks there. Defeat them repeatedly and wait for them to respawn. After you’ve defeated several Slimeks, the Slime Diva will appear alongside three small slime creatures.

Slime Diva is a level 10 boss, so you have to make sure you’re at least level 8 until you can comfortably take it on. If your level is lower and your equipment is not up to par, you will have a tough time defeating the horde of Slimeks before you can make the boss appear.

An easy way to level up quickly is to head over to the Inner Sanctum from the portal inside Angela’s abode. You can also find good early-game equipment and weapons there.

You should also invest some stat points in Vitality, so you can take a few hits before dying. Investing in the Recovery Skill is also recommended because fighting against the Slimeks and Slime Diva’s minions can take away some health before you actually get to fight the boss.

The boss has some annoying attacks that you have to deal with. However, the attacks become a lot easier to deal with once you’ve gotten rid of its minions, allowing you to fight against the boss one-on-one.

Description

How To Avoid

Slime Shower

It is a ranged attack where Slime Diva will shoot out several small slimes in your direction. Her hands will glow before she’s about to use this attack. You cannot attack these slimes, and they will disappear after crashing into something.

Avoiding this attack is fairly easy. You have to run or dash to either side, and you’ll be able to completely avoid getting hit by any slimes. Don’t go in for an attack before she completely stops, or you might get hit.

Ball Of Acid

Slime Diva lets out a big bouncing ball of acid that will damage you if you come in contact with it. Every bounce will leave a puddle of acid on the ground, which will remain there for a short duration. After a few bounces, the ball will crash into the ground, creating a similar puddle. Stepping inside the glowing green circles will damage you.

This attack is slow, and you can easily avoid getting hit by the ball by moving around it. The green glowing circles on the ground can be annoying, but they disappear shortly after.

Spire Of Acid

The boss will swing one of its wands, causing a circular area in the ground to glow green. The acid will erupt from the glowing circle and will take the shape of a small spire, damaging you if you come in contact with it. The swing can also damage you if you’re too close to the boss.

It takes a fair amount of time for the spire to completely erupt from the ground. You can easily avoid stepping on the green glowing circle. But, the spire stays in the arena for a decent duration, so you have to make sure you don’t accidentally dash into it.

Wand Strike

In melee range, the Slime Diva will sometimes smack you with one of its wands. You also have to keep an eye out on all of her ranged moves where it swings its wands to cast the attack. If you’re in melee range, the wand will hit you if you’re not blocking.

This attack can be parried. You can also dash away the moment you see it raising one of its wands in the air to avoid this attack.

How To Defeat Slime Diva

The first thing you have to do after making Slime Diva appear is to defeat its small minion slimes. These smaller slimes have lower HP than Slimeks and will only take a couple of swings to beat, but if you leave them alive, they can make dodging the boss’ attacks a lot more difficult, while also dealing damage to you.

When it’s just you and Slime Diva, you can continuously move around the arena after casting the Recovery Skill to heal yourself. Don’t count on the pillars in the arena to block the boss’ range attacks, because some of its attacks will simply phase through the pillars.

The base strategy is to keep moving around the boss, bringing down its HP slowly with jump attacks, and only going in after Slime Diva has just used up an attack. If you get hit, you can use the Recovery Skill to heal yourself while running away.

One other easier strategy, which might help you defeat the boss even if you’re at a much lower level, is to invest your skill points in Rock Throw skill. You will need at least 15 to 20 rocks in your inventory, and the skill should be at least rank 3. After that, you have to keep running in circles around Slime Diva while throwing rocks at it.

Rewards For Defeating Slime Diva

The image shows that the player is about to complete the Diva Must Die quest by talking to Angela in Atlyss.

Defeating Slime Diva rewards the player with Green Lipstick and Slime Diva Ears, both of which are trade items. Green Lipstick can be sold at Sally’s Store for 18 crowns, while Slime Diva Ears is worth 20 crowns. However, the real reward comes when you finally return to Angela to complete the quest.

Once you’ve returned to Angela inside the Inner Sanctum, you will have to mark the Diva Must Die quest as complete. Doing so will reward you with 1200 crowns, and over 1200 experience, which can play an essential role in boosting you to level 10 quickly.
