There’s no escaping cheaters in online shooters. Call of Duty, Counter-Strike, Fortnite, and Valorant are full of people using hacks, and like a cheating hydra it doesn’t matter how many heads you cut off, more hackers will quickly grow back. That doesn’t mean developers shouldn’t take cheaters incredibly seriously, though. That’s why Team Jade, the studio behind Battlefield and Tarkov rival Delta Force, is already making huge promises on how it’ll deal with the problem, mere days before launch.
With the Delta Force release date right around the corner, Team Jade is gearing up for launch by diving into exactly what we can expect from the multiplayer FPS game’s anti-cheat system. We already knew Delta Force cheaters were a problem during the Steam Next Fest demo, and now we finally know what Team Jade plans to do about them.
To start, Team Jade is upgrading the cheating detection system in Delta Force. Not only can you expect better defenses and dynamic anti-cheat at launch, but the studio promises that “cheaters reported through our G.T.I Security website will be dealt with within 24 hours.” This is a lofty promise from Team Jade, but one that it’s been investing a lot of time into ahead of the global open beta launch.
As for G.T.I security, Team Jade says it’s collaborated with Anti-Cheat Expert (ACE) for game safety, and established a “dedicated task force against cheats and other violations.” This means players caught cheating, teaming up with hackers, and even griefing can be punished with bans of varying durations and severity.
If you fall victim to a cheater in Delta Force, don’t worry, as Team Jade has finally outlined the shooter’s compensation system. When a cheater forces you to lose helmets, armor, backpacks, weapons, or ammo, Team Jade will return all of these items to you. That means you won’t be made worse off thanks to a cheater, while the G.T.I anti-cheat system will auto-verify the hacker’s actions and punish them.
Team Jade adds that this is “version one” of its compensation system, and that the team will “aim to further improve [it] with player feedback.”
With Team Jade gearing up for launch, we’ve put together all the Delta Force system requirements for your rig to ensure you can play, alongside a breakdown of every Delta Force operator.
