- An advertisement for The Replacer bundle prevents users from reading the character’s bio.
- The unfortunate advertisement placement is likely unintentional and rather poor UI design.
A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player has discovered a glaring issue with The Replacer bundle after noticing that the operator’s bio is unreadable unless purchased. Although this is a clear oversight by Treyarch that simply requires a small UI adjustment to rectify, it’s just one of the many irritating bugs and visual glitches that have plagued Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 since its massive launch on October 25.
While there are still a myriad of improvements that could be made, Black Ops 6 has had the biggest launch in Call of Duty history, according to Activision. In the first 30 days of launch, Black Ops 6 now holds the record for total players, hours played, and total matches. To celebrate the monumental success, Treyarch kicked off the game’s second double XP weekend on November 27, while also bringing back the popular Stakeout 24/7 playlist and adding Prop Hunt, a fan-favorite party mode, into the game’s rotation.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Player Notices Annoying Store Issue
Over on Reddit, user Assured_Observer has picked up on a glaring issue with Black Ops 6‘s Replacer bundle, which was released earlier this month. While scrolling through some of the game’s operators, the user attempted to read The Replacer’s bio but was met with an image blocking the description that can only be removed by purchasing the bundle from the store. Although it doesn’t appear to be intentional and is rather an unfortunate advertisement placement, it has angered some players. Reddit user Csabeszpier said it is “annoying” that they are not able to check some of the operator bios due to the UI error.
This isn’t the first time that Call of Duty‘s UI has caused outrage in the community. Shortly before the launch of Black Ops 6, Activision overhauled the Call of Duty HQ with a fresh interface after years of complaints from fans. Many compared the previous menu design to something found on a streaming platform such as Hulu or Netflix, which led to the studio completely redesigning the layout earlier this year. While the game’s new UI is a vast improvement to its predecessor, it looks like there are still some visual issues that need to be rectified by Treyarch.
Despite being a highly-anticipated addition, Black Ops 6‘s Replacer bundle has already caused controversy once before. The bundle, which includes multiple cosmetic items such as weapon blueprints, an animated calling card, an emblem, and more, allows fans to play as the popular Black Ops character, The Replacer. However, for those who want to unlock both versions of the skin, the Blackcell Battle Pass must be purchased before the bundle, leading to outrage in the community as fans begrudged paying twice in order to get both skins.
