The GPMG-7 is a fast-firing LMG you’ll earn fairly late in Black Ops 6’s progression system. It’s top of its class in terms of raw fire rate, but it has a small magazine size, poor damage per bullet, and a sizable amount of recoil that you’ll need to fix with attachments.

Once you do, the GPMG-7 turns into a powerhouse of a weapon. You can lock down rooms, hallways, and critical objectives with an unrelenting hailstorm of lead. It’s a great weapon to use if you prefer to anchor near objectives, especially if you use the build we’ll be showing you today.

Reducing the GPMG’s recoil is surprisingly easy and makes it an effective weapon for virtually all engagement distances. You’ll want a Compensator to reduce the weapon’s vertical recoil. Horizontal recoil will become an issue, but you can fix that with a Vertical Grip. Now, the GPMG will have virtually no recoil.
To improve the anchor-heavy playstyle LMGs promote, we’re going to use an Extended Mag II attachment to increase the weapon’s magazine size to 100 rounds, doubling the number of bullets you have between reloads. A Quickdraw Grip is nice for improving the gun’s sluggish ADS speed. Complete the build with your favorite optic.

Since you won’t be running and gunning with an LMG, this build works exceptionally well with the Strategist specialty. Playing the objective will award you with additional score, which can be extremely useful for snowballing scorestreaks at the start of a match. For perks, we recommend Flak Jacket and Tac Mask to resist enemy equipment, Fast Hands to quickly swap to your secondary if you get caught mid-reload, and Guardian to trigger HP regeneration while fighting on an objective.
