It’s an upgrade of the original variant M-179E Achilles, and that’s not just because it has a gold skin. Boasting an already high headshot damage multiplier and a fast charge time for its shots, the Widow Maker excels at becoming a burst-fire Precision Rifle, since its iconic modifier will provide players with two shots for every shot fired. While this does mean its ammo count is technically reduced to 5 rather than 10, it’s still great for mid-range and close-range battles due to the fastness of its fire rate. On top of being a generally good burst rifle, the Widow Maker also has a 10% chance to poison an enemy, and given its ammo, that’s a 20% chance per shot to poison and provide deepening chemical damage.

Not only do players have one of the best damage modifiers in the game with its 100% increase to Crit Damage and 200% increase to Headshot Damage, but the weapon itself has been modded to the point where it fires explosive rounds. These explosive shots will always knock down enemies or send them flying, providing a literal railgun for V’s hand. A headshot is essential, and the 6 magazine size isn’t even an issue since the final bullet is a 100% guaranteed critical hit.
