A Big Score & Deceive The Deceiver Side Quests Walkthrough

A Big Score and Deceive the Deceiver are 2 side quests that players do one after the other for Zakhar in Slag Heap within the Garbage region of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. The quest starts with Zakhar informing Skif of a lucrative opportunity to get a lot of Coupons in exchange for doing a mission for him.

However, things go sideways quickly as this unseemingly normal mission takes a turn for the sinister, leaving Skif to defend himself from an armed gang of Bandits about to ambush him. After that, it’s up to Skif and a newly gained ally to take revenge on the guy who did them both wrong.

How to Start A Big Score Side Quest in Stalker 2

Players can interact with the NPC Zakhar Babay, standing right opposite the room with the trader Huron in Slag Heap in Stalker 2. Zakhar will share an opportunity with Skif that will make both of them a good number of Coupons.

Accepting his offer will start the “A Big Score” side quest in Stalker 2 that will require players to reach the Car Park and meet up with Zakhar’s men.

Rescue Akopyan from Zakhar’s Thugs & Start Deceive the Deceiver Side Quest in Stalker 2

After arriving at the Car Park, players will hear some people beating up a captive in the location. Upon entering the area, Zakhar’s thugs will ambush and start shooting at Skif. Players will need to take down the bandits before a voice calls upon Skif, asking for help.

Following the voice, players will find an Akopyan held captive under the shed. After talking to him, players will find out that Zakhar runs this scheme where he sends people to this location in hopes of making Coupons, only for them to get robbed instead. After hearing him out, players can accept the “Deceive the Deceiver” Side Quest in Stalker 2 and take revenge on Zakhar.

Before going to meet Zakhar, players must first loot the body of a thug called “Sashko Cheery.” Loot the Spitter gun and the PDA from his body, and make your way to Slag Heap to confront Zakhar.

Luring Zakhar Out of the Slag Heap & Taking Him Down

After reaching the Slag Heap, players will find Zakhar standing in the same place. The main goal here is to lure Zakhar out of the confines of the Slag Heap to eliminate him.

After a brief confrontation with him, players will make him believe that Akopyan was able to take his men down by showing Sashko’s Spitter to him. This scares Zakhar into believing that Akopyan will be coming for him next for revenge, so he asks Skif to escort him to his stash.

After Zakhar leaves the Slag Heap, players can kill him at the moment to complete the mission. However,
it is recommended
to allow Zakhar to retrieve the items from his stash and meet up with his crew so he can reward Skif with some Coupons. This will allow Skif to receive rewards from both Zakhar and Akopyan in the “Deceive the Deceiver” side quest in
Stalker 2
.

Follow Zakhar towards the shipment containers outside Slag Heap and wait for him to retrieve his stuff from the stash. After that, he’ll meet up with his thugs, planning to travel to the Lesser Zone to scam people there. After receiving the Coupons for escorting Zakhar, players can kill him and his bandit crew.

Return to Akopyan in Slag Heap to Claim Quest Reward

After successfully exacting revenge on Zakhar, return to the Slag Heap and talk to Akopyan, who’s standing right next to the Huron, the trader’s quarters. Once Skif informs him about the demise of Zakhar, he’ll be glad and reward players with some more Coupons. This will mark the “Deceive the Deceiver” side quest in Stalker 2 as complete.
