As a long-time fan of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Kenji Kamiyama’s first thought was how he could re-create the magic of Tolkien’s work in animated form.

The video also included a small segment in which Philippa Boyens, the producer for The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim expressed her love for the franchise. She also talked about Helm’s Deep, and how the story of the old king would mesh with Kenji Kamiyama. They also talked about how they want to mesmerize the audience with hand-drawn animation.
