The Law of Ueki Manga Makes A Return After 16 Years

The Law of Ueki manga ended a long time ago, but it seems ready to make a return. In the 53rd issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday, it was revealed that Tsubasa Fukuchi would be publishing a one-shot. Tsubasa Fukuchi’s one-shot will be for the Law of Ueki manga.

It will be published in the magazine’s next issue, which is slated for a December 4 release.

The one-shot will have a color page at the beginning. This one-shot is the first piece of content that the Law of Ueki fans will get to enjoy after nearly 16 years. It will also commemorate the 65th anniversary of Weekly Shonen Sunday.

The Law of Ueki Fans Are Excited About The New Project

At the time of writing, there is no information about the contents of the one-shot as Shogakukan doesn’t want to ruin the surprise. So, fans will have to read the one-shot to find out what it is about.

Tsubasa Fukuchi also posted a picture of the announcement on his X (formerly Twitter) to promote the one-shot. There is a chance that there might be another announcement in the near future, but the probability is low.

The Law of Ueki Is Loved By Fans

The Law of Ueki began serializing in the Weekly Shonen Sunday in July 2001. It went on for nearly three years before coming to an end in October 2004. The manga received a sequel in April 2005, and it ran until June 2007. Tsubasa Fukuchi went on to write Golden Spiral, which debuted in 2022. However, the manga didn’t last for long and concluded in September 2023.

The Law of Ueki manga received an anime adaptation in April 2005. The anime had 51 episodes, with the finale airing on March 27, 2006. The anime was directed by Hiroshi Watanabe, while Toshifumi Kawase was in charge of the series composition.

The Law of Ueki has two video game titles to its name. The first one, titled “The Law of Ueki: I’ll Beat You, Robert’s Ten!” was released in January 2006. The other is called The Law of Ueki: Sacred Weapon Explosion! – Power User Battle, which was released for the Game Boy Advance in March 2006.

The Law of Ueki is set in a world where different Celestials compete for the title of King of the Celestial World. Each Celestial must choose a junior high school student to act as their power use. This is where Kosuke Ueki comes in. The young boy is adamant about winning the entire thing so that nobody can misuse the reward.
