Undisputed fans have been left furious after a new bug appears to be negatively affecting stats, giving players a loss on their record after their opponent rage quits or throws in the towel. The highly-anticipated boxing title finally left early access earlier this year, but Undisputed‘s launch has been met with negative reviews and criticisms from fans after the game’s release included a myriad of technical issues and overpowered gameplay elements.
While EA’s Fight Night games would once rule the boxing genre, the studio has since moved on to developing mixed martial arts titles for the UFC, leaving fans clamoring for a new boxing game for over thirteen years. But after almost two years of being in early access, Steel City Interactive finally answered the community’s prayers with the launch of Undisputed on October 11. Featuring some of boxing’s biggest names, such as Tyson Fury, Canelo Alvarez, Muhammed Ali, Rocky Marciano, and many more, boxing fans were eager to finally get back in the ring with some all-time great fighters.

Undisputed Players Report Severe Stat Bug
Unfortunately, the launch of Undisputed was met with a lukewarm response from the community, largely down to its unbalanced gameplay and bugs. Now, two weeks after the game’s first major post-launch update, fans are beginning to notice that a serious bug is resulting in losses being added to player’s records even after they’ve won a fight. Over on the Undisputed subreddit, a myriad of users have been left bewildered after realizing that losses are being added to their record whenever an opponent either rage quits the game or throws in the towel. Reddit user whodisbeez305 said that they were given 3 losses, despite not actually losing a fight. “I’ve won every fight today,” the user said. “My record when I started today was 248-38-2 and now my record is 257-41-2.”
Other users are experiencing the same issue, with yomikey_1980 saying, “Yup, happening to me on PS5. It’s so messed up. Everyone quits. And now I get a win and a loss when I win.” While the issue appears to be present for a large number of players, it has yet to be addressed by the game’s developer, Steel City Interactive. Thankfully, the studio has previously confirmed that a new Undisputed update will be arriving in mid-December, but whether or not it will fix this stat-breaking bug is yet to be known.
The game’s first update finally addressed those pesky power punchers that were taking over Undisputed, while also nerfing Deontay Wilder and making some major adjustments to the game’s stamina. The patch also prevented Ranked players from quitting a match without receiving a loss, although the change only appears to be for Xbox and PC users as Steel City said that the fix was taking longer than anticipated for PS5 users, so it has been pushed back to the mid-December update. The studio also stated that the game’s next update will include “new features, improvements, and content” as well as further bug fixes.
