Nightingale's Hunt Side Quest Walkthrough

After making a harrowing escape from the armed forces in the intro missions, Skiff finally makes it to Zalissya and gets acquainted with several NPCs in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl. One of those NPCs is Nightingale, who’ll call out to Skiff asking him if he’s willing to do a mission for him. What follows are 2 back-to-back side quests, the latter one called “Nightingale’s Hunt,” which ends in a tragedy. Let’s check out how to complete this mission.

Giving the Ward Sensors retrieved from Squint to Richter or Captain Zotov is one of the first major choices players will have to make in Stalker 2.

How to Start Nightingale’s Hunt Side Quest in Stalker 2

Players find Nightingale in the Zalissya base opposite Captain Zotov’s office, right after completing a few intro missions in Stalker 2. He’ll call out to players, asking them if they’re interested in completing a mission for him. After completing the first mission for him, Dogfight, you’ll need to talk to him again to accept his second side quest, “Nightingale’s Hunt.”

Accepting Nightingale’s Hunt side quest will mark two locations on the map that players have to venture to and retrieve electronic collars from mutant dogs. Here’s how you can successfully complete all the objects of the Nightingale’s Hunt side quest in Stalker 2.

Finding the Electronic Collar Near Bulba

Players must first head towards the Bulba Anomaly to retrieve the first electronic collar of the mutant dog during Nightingale’s Hunt side quest in Stalker 2. After making your way to the Anomaly, make sure to stay on the outskirts of the lake and make your way around it on the left side.

Players will spot a mutant dog lying on top of the rock near the Bulba Anomaly. You should carefully approach the lake while the Bulba is contracting to avoid getting pulled in. Crouch walk your way to the rock and loot the mutant dog to retrieve the first electronic collar for Nightingale.

Taking Down a Pack of Dogs & Retrieving the Collar

After retrieving the collar from the mutant dog near the Bulba anomaly, turn around and make your way to the higher ground as the next object is nearby. After making your way to the top, you’ll hear gunshots from human enemies shooting the pack of dogs. Make sure to deal with them first before engaging the pack of dogs.

Once the area is cleared of all human enemies, search for a mutant dog with a blue aura around it. Once you find the one, wait for the aura to dissipate and proceed to take it down and retrieve the collar from its body. You can avoid other dogs in the pack if you can and run away from the area.

After successfully retrieving the 2 electronic collars in the side quest, players will hear Nightingale over the radio asking for Skiff’s help.

Answering Nightingale’s Call for Help

Checking out the map, players will find the objective marker to help Nightingale on the southwest side of the current location. Making your way to Nightgale’s location, players will find his dead body inside one of the houses. Loot Nightingale’s body to find a weapon and some helpful items, alongside another collar. At this moment, players will be ambushed by a Bloodsucker that needs to be taken down.

After defeating the Bloodsucker, loot its body to find the final electronic collar. Now players can make their way back to Zalissya to give the collars to Hamster, the trader in Stalker 2.

Giving Electronic Collars to Hamster

Giving Collars to Hamster in Zalissya Nightingale's Hunt quest Stalker 2

Making your way back to Zalissya, meet up with the trader, Hamster, and talk to him. He’ll ask about Nightingale and you can tell him about the events as you choose as it won’t impact the Nightingale’s Hunt side quest’s outcome.

Handing over the collars to Hamster will mark the quest complete and players will receive coupons (amount depends on the selected difficulty) as a reward.
