It’s Black Friday and no matter what site or store you visit today, and across most of the weekend, there will be video games on offer for very tempting, much lower prices. You’ll be hard-pushed to find a better gaming deal than this one, though. Mass Effect’s Legendary Edition, which combines the remastered version of the original trilogy into one collection, for less than $5.
The Legendary Edition of the Mass Effect trilogy has had its price cut from $59.99 to just $4.79 on Steam, a drop of more than 90 percent. The Veilguard ended up too similar to Mass Effect, so what does Mass Effect do now?
If you know Mass Effect at all, you’ll know that it’s almost certainly more than 108 hours of entertainment too. The Legendary Edition includes all of the trilogy’s DLC content, so a tonne of side quests and additional stuff to explore. Plus, since your Mass Effect journey is dictated by the decisions you make, every playthrough is unique meaning you’ll likely feel compelled to start over and do it all again but differently as soon as you’re finished with your first playthrough.
Mild spoilers here for the first game in the series so skip this box if you’re picking up Mass Effect for the first time during this Black Friday sale, but if you lose Wrex on Virmire, you have to stop and restart immediately. I don’t make most of the rules but I am enforcing this one.
