Honor of Kings Snow Carnival brings new battlefield changes, events, rewards and more

Winter is here with all its frosty chill, but that is not all since it brings Honor of Kings an immersive Winter Dreamland transformation from festive battlefield mechanics, themed modes, and exclusive rewards during this holiday season. Get all set to dive into Snow Carnival or team up with friends for festive events since you can now embrace Christmas while enjoying Snow Carnival in Honor of Kings.

This Carnival runs from November 28, 2024, to January 8, 2025, featuring three distinct event phases packed with surprises, new gameplay elements, and special rewards. Let’s dive into the highlights.

Winter Battlefield Changes in Honor of Kings

Phase 1: Glacial Twisters (Nov 28 – Dec 11)

Watch out for the jungle! In two minutes, Glacial Twisters appear to reduce speed and throw players if touched. Use them as crowd control. Indicators and countdowns are displayed on the map, so pay attention to those tornado-spawning times.

Phase 2: Ice Path Effect (Dec 12 – Dec 23)

Summoning the Shadow Vanguard grants your team a powerful advantage with its new Ice Path effect. Enemies caught in the path will be briefly frozen, perfect for setting up devastating team fights.

Phase 3: Snowy Sleigh (Dec 24 – Jan 8)

Defeat river spirit and it rewards you with a sleigh that gives you a big boost in speed. Use them for quick retreats and aggressive pushes or just as some snowy fun to roam around with.

Glacial Overlord, Glacial Tyrant, and Hero Ice Burst

Starting November 28, two frosty titans join the battlefield: the Snow Overlord and Snow Tyrant. Defeating them grants your team additional slow and freeze effects, perfect for turning the tide in crucial battles.

From December 12 to January 8, six heroes (Lady Zhen, Princess Frost, Zhuangzi, Dolia, Da Qiao, and Shi) gain an exciting winter upgrade. Landing their water or ice-based skills on enemies will collect stacks. Collect three within four seconds, and you will trigger an Ice Explosion, dealing area damage and applying a slow effect. Coordinate with your team to unleash frosty devastation.

“Light Up Squares for Skins” Event

Perhaps the highlight of the Winter Dreamland is the Free Skins for the New Winter Version event, running from November 28 to December 12. Here’s how it works:

• Earn Coins: Login, play matches, and complete missions to collect event coins.
• Bingo Board Rewards: Use coins to light up slots on the bingo board. Completing rows or columns earns small rewards while lighting up the entire board unlocks the grand prize: a Random Skin Chest containing an unowned skin.
• Random Skin Chest Options: Features premium skins such as Fishback Revelry Zhuangzi, Cyberpunk Butterfly, Nutcracker Gan & Mo, and more.

Celebrate the Season with Special Events

From December 6 to January 8, players can dive into additional festive activities, unlocking rewards and exclusive items:

• Freebie Heroes and Skins (Dec 6 – Jan 8): Grab one free item per day from the rotating list of heroes and skins. Refresh the list up to 200 times to secure top-tier rewards, including epic skins like Cai Yan’s Miracle Christmas.
• 10 Billion Tokens Giveaway (Dec 13 – Dec 25): You will have a chance to yourself up to 10 Billion Tokens. You will be provided with at least 800 Limited-Time Tokens if not 10 Billion for participating in this.
• Gift Exchange (Dec 24 – Jan 1): Send and receive holiday gifts with friends, then open them between Jan 1 – Jan 4 for guaranteed skins, with a chance at legendary-tier items.

Additional challenges like the Scoreboard Challenge, Mutual Assist, and Team-up events encourage players to team up with friends to unlock more rewards, including Yaria’s Shan Hai skin and Liu Bei’s Funky Toymaker skin.
