A recent leak suggests that Kong from the Monsterverse franchise may be on his way to Fortnite in the coming months during the upcoming Chapter 6 of the massively popular battle royale game. The latest trailer for the upcoming Fortnite chapter already confirmed the arrival of Kong’s longtime on-screen rival Godzilla, with a design pulled straight from the latest film in Legendary’s Monsterverse.

The trailer for the latest Fortnite chapter confirmed previous rumors that Godzilla was coming to the game donning his bright pink spines and nuclear breath pulled straight from Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The legendary kaiju is set to appear alongside a slew of new, original Fortnite characters and several other crossover characters from outside franchises.

Naturally, the season’s collaborations seem to tie into the theme as well, such as the leaked Demon Slayer crossover reportedly on the way and a skin based on Baymax from Disney’s Big Hero 6.


Another change in the upcoming season comes from the price of the Battle Pass, which will seemingly increase to 1,000 V-Bucks from the usual 950, though Epic Games has promised the prices of the digital currency will not change. Fans will be able to see what exactly the new chapter in Fortnite has in store for them when it begins next month on December 1, bringing all these collaborations alongside new and returning items and a brand-new map along with it.
