Key Takeaways
- One of the biggest (literally) things coming to Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 is Godzilla.
- The King of Monsters won’t be alone, though, as a reliable insider has reported that Kong will also appear in Chapter 6.
- This is backed up by Kong’s name appearing in the copyright information for Chapter 6’s gameplay trailer.
A reliable insider has claimed that Kong (or King Kong, if you’re old like me) will eventually be added to Fortnite as part of Chapter 6, although it’s not clear if he’ll be in Season 1.
We’re just a few short days away from the start of Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1 (also known as Hunters) and Epic Games has been surprisingly open about what we can expect from the big update. Following the theme, Battle Pass lineup, and gameplay trailer being leaked, Epic decided to open the floodgates and officially show off all the additions that Chapter 6 is bringing to the table.

Although the addition of new parkour moves, a blue glob that heals you, and special demon masks that grant you unique powers are all very exciting, perhaps the biggest (literally) thing coming to Fortnite in Chapter 6, Season 1 is Godzilla. The King of Monsters has been rumoured for some time, but the trailer confirmed that he’s finally reached The Island and is ready to wreak havoc.
Kong Is Reportedly Coming To Fortnite Chapter 6 Alongside Godzilla
As it turns out, though, it seems that Godzilla isn’t the only massive monster that Fortnite players can expect to go up against as part of Chapter 6. Shortly after the gameplay trailer for the season was released, reliable Fortnite insider ShiinaBR took to Twitter to report that Kong will also be joining Fortnite in Chapter 6.
Beyond being an obvious move from Epic to have both Titans in one season, this leak is backed up by the gameplay trailer’s copyright details. Twitter user and Fortnite insider SamLeakss pointed out that Kong’s name also appears in the copyright information for Fortnite Chapter 6’s launch trailer, basically confirming that he’s coming at some point too.
It’s not clear right now when exactly we can expect Kong to come to The Island, but considering how massive Godzilla is, it’s likely he’ll appear in a separate season. As for how he’ll work, it seems that Kong will be a boss character like Godzilla, although he might end up having his own skin like Godzilla is rumoured to be getting. For now, though, we can look forward to the idea of another massive boss roaming around Fortnite.
