Now, Junji Ito is getting a collection in Dead by Daylight, with two Legendary skins and six very rare skins for killers and survivors. The Artist and The Spirit will be receiving Legendary skins, turning them into Miss Fuchi and Tomie, respectively. The two skins are quite horrifying, particularly thanks to the disturbingly long neck and giant grin of the Miss Fuchi and Tomie’s second face. Both of these Legendary skins will come complete with new audio. The remaining skins are split between survivors and killers, with The Trickster, The Dredge, The Twins, Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson all receiving new skins in the Junji Ito collection.
Fans of Junji Ito will likely find a lot to love in this particular collection, which will launch on January 7, 2025. While Junji Ito’s works are always scary, seeing one of his creatures come to life and lurking in the dark will surely provide a terrifying experience for players. Those who aren’t familiar with Junji Ito’s works may also be able to discover a new favorite thanks to the collaboration.
Junji Ito and Silent Hill Finally Collide in Dead by Daylight
While the characters and creatures these Dead by Daylight skins are based off of are all Junji Ito’s creations, the collaboration may remind players of what could have been. While he reportedly didn’t have a hand in the PT demo, Junji Ito was set to be part of the team bringing Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro’s Silent Hills to life. Unfortunately, the game’s development never made it far enough to see what his contributions to the title would have been like.
This collection in Dead by Daylight draws from some of Junji Ito’s most well-known creatures and isn’t the same thing as brand-new monsters made for Silent Hills. However, given that Silent Hill has also come to Dead by Daylight, it’s likely the closest thing that fans can get for the foreseeable future.
