Black Ops 6 Multiplayer is shaping up to be one of the most innovative installments in the Call of Duty franchise, introducing the Omnimovement system, a collection of small, chaotic maps, and brand-new game modes like Kill Order. Set in the 90s, Black Ops 6 also brings back a familiar roster of weapons, including the C9, which is essentially the MP5 from previous entries in the series.
The C9 is one of the few Submachine Guns available to players upon unlocking their Custom Loadouts, and boasts exceptional accuracy within its category. Although it is often overshadowed by the Jackal PDW, the C9 remains a solid choice at close range due to its fast fire rate and strong mobility and handling attributes. With the best loadout, however, the C9 can become a great weapon in the overall meta.
Updated on November 29, 2024, by Nathan Round: The C9 has joined Call of Duty: Warzone’s extensive lineup of available weapons as of Season 1, giving fans of the Battle Royale title a new tool to take onto the battlefield. With the Black Ops 6 integration into Warzone, this guide has been updated to include an additional C9 loadout specifically tailored for Warzone Battle Royale, offering excellent versatility within the close-range meta.

Best C9 Loadout In Black Ops 6
Best C9 Build:
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Ranger Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Ergonomic Grip (Rear Grip)
- Rapid Fire (Fire Mods)
The C9 build showcased above is perfect for players looking for an excellent run-and-gun setup. The attachments for this build provide several benefits, including increased aim-down-sight speeds, faster dive-to-fire and slide-to-fire speeds, and reduced horizontal recoil.
This build also boosts the fire rate, improving overall time-to-kill (TTK), and extends the weapon’s damage into the medium range. All these advantages make the C9 an excellent main weapon, one that is particularly deadly on Strike maps.
Best Black Ops 6 Perks & Wildcard

|
While a player’s choice in Perks ultimately comes down to personal preference, the following options pair particularly well with the C9. First up are Dexterity and Tracker, a combination that highlights enemy footprints and reduces weapon motion while sliding, diving, and jumping. Double Time is also essential, as it grants access to Enforcer, offering a mix of boosted mobility and faster health regeneration upon eliminating targets.
For the Wildcard, Perk Greed is an excellent choice, allowing players to equip a fourth Perk, with Scavenger being the best fit for players looking to rack up enough kills for their Scoresteaks.
Black Ops 6 Secondary Recommendations
The C9 is likely the only weapon that players will default to for this loadout, especially when competing against the likes of the Jackel PDW. However, it is always advised to carry an additional weapon that players can swap-to in situations where a quick reload is impossible. In this scenario, either the Sirin 9mm or the Grekhova will more than do, as either can dispatch opponents fairly quickly.

Gunfighter Attachments:

Next up is a build for Warzone, providing one of the best Submachine Gun builds that players can run. With the attachments highlighted above, players will find that the recoil of the C9 is perfectly controllable even at medium range, along with offering both a buff to sprinting speed and general movement speed for added fluidity.
While a solid five-attachment build can finish off with an extended magazine, players using Gunfighter should be sure to improve other attributes like handling and hip-fire accuracy, as well as provide an additional boost to recoil control for good measure.
Best Warzone Perks & Wildcard
- Dexterity (Perk 1)
- Sprinter (Perk 2)
- Resolute (Perk 3)
- Gunfighter (Wildcard)
While the best Perks to run are often subject to personal preference, a good Submachine Gun loadout could benefit from a mobility-based Perk Package — one providing infinite tactical sprint, reduced fall damage, and the ability to move much faster when taking incoming shots from enemies. All these benefits ensure players can move at their absolute best, allowing them to easily outmaneuver their opponents.
As for the Wildcard, players have two options. For a solid eight-attachment build, opt for Gunfighter, as players can always gain access to their desired second primary weapon via the Buy Station. To get an extra primary weapon right from the start, however, opt for Overkill.
Warzone Secondary Recommendations
The C9 is a perfect weapon to pair with a Sniper Rifle, as it provides close-range support, ideal for when enemies get a little too close for comfort. For the two best Sniper Rifles in the category, players can opt for either the LW3A1 Frostline or the LR 7.62. The Frostline shines on Resurgence, thanks to its enhanced handling attributes. However, for sheer firepower and bullet velocity, the LR 7.62 is the clear go-to.
As for players seeking more versatility, running an Assault Rifle alongside the C9 can provide an excellent loadout. Some of the top Assault Rifle options in Warzone so far include the GPR 91, the XM4, and the Model L, each offering outstanding versatility across various ranges.
