The newest title in the venerable Pokemon franchise is on its way, and excitement is quickly building. Following the successful release of 2022’s Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have announced the long-awaited follow-up title, Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Set to arrive on the Nintendo Switch in 2025, Pokemon Legends: Z-A should serve as one of the final hurrahs for the Switch before Nintendo’s next-generation platform is released.
Fans are chomping at the bit to try this new Pokemon game as it will return players to the Kalos region for the first time since 2013’s Pokemon X and Y. While there’s largely been radio silence on this project since its announcement this past February, there’s been no shortage of excitement for what Game Freak and The Pokemon Company will create with this new entry. If rumors are true, fans will not have to wait too long to hear more about it.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A Could Be Shown Off Very Soon
Pokemon Legends: Z-A Might Return Before Pokemon Day
Lately, Pokemon Legends: Z-A leaks have been common thanks to another “Gigaleak” related to the Pokemon franchise. Nintendo previously suffered from ten different “Gigaleaks” from 2020-2021, and this past October, the Pokemon series became the latest victim of such a data breach. While most of these leaks centered around source code for previously released Pokemon projects, some upcoming games were included in these leaks.
This new set of leaks doesn’t appear to be part of that same data breach, but it does offer some major news regarding Pokemon Legends: Z-A. Seemingly, a new Pokemon Legends: Z-A trailer will be revealed before Pokemon Day. Pokemon Day is an annual tradition that happens every year on February 27, the anniversary of when Pokemon Red and Green were first released, and it appears fans could be seeing Pokemon Legends: Z-A before that.
Pokemon Fans May Be Getting Two Legends Z-A Trailers
If this leak is true – and naturally, it should be taken with a grain of salt – it sets Pokemon fans up for a potential double whammy of Pokemon Legends: Z-A goodness. Again, Pokemon Day happens every year on February 27, and The Pokemon Company always hosts a livestream to show off new Pokemon content in a given year. Naturally, as Pokemon Legends: Z-A appears to be its largest upcoming project in 2025, The Pokemon Company will undoubtedly have a new trailer for the game ready to go when this livestream rolls around.
That said, if a trailer is set to be released before Pokemon Day, fans will get two distinct looks at the new game in no more than four months. Considering how fans have seen nothing of Legends: Z-A since its announcement trailer in February, receiving two trailers in this short of a time frame would build plenty of excitement among the fanbase. Furthermore, as perhaps one of the last major titles set to release before Nintendo’s next system is ready, it would give fans plenty to look forward to before the new console inevitably siphons all the attention for itself.

Pokemon Day Is The Better Place For A Deep Dive
Of course, if a trailer is on the way, it’s not entirely clear how much of a deep dive it will be. The leak did not disclose how extensive this supposed trailer will be and how much of the game it will show. It’s fair to assume such a trailer will not be an extensive “deep dive,” as Game Freak and The Pokemon Company would probably be best served saving that for the Pokemon Day stream.
Even so, the potential for two Pokemon Legends: Z-A trailers over the next four months is an exciting proposition. Gamers have waited patiently to hear more news about the Legends: Arceus follow-up, and it’s exciting to know that such news may be right around the corner. Whether a new trailer will be ready to go sooner or later, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will likely become one of the biggest titles of 2025 once The Pokemon Company is ready to show it off.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is an ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series, releasing simultaneously worldwide in 2025. A new adventure awaits within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
