Cyberpunk 2077: The Best Katanas (& Where To Find Them)
If players want to unlock their inner samurai in Cyberpunk 2077, then they are going to need to know the best Iconic katanas that can be found.
With so much to do in Night City, it’s no surprise that there are some secret quests that even the most veteran of players might not know about. To continue finding things to do in Night City, look to these awesome hidden side quests in Cyberpunk 2077 to see if you’ve completed them all.
16 Happy Together
Understand Barry’s Pain and Prevent His Suicide
- Location: Megabuilding H10, Watson
- How to Acquire: Complete Act One
- Rewards: None
Happy Together will be one of the first side jobs that players will uncover in Night City as it will activate immediately in Act 2 after players have met Johnny Silverhand. The quest itself involves two worried cops as they try to check in on V’s neighbor, Barry Lewis, a former NCPD cop who hasn’t been seen in days and grieves alone at the loss of his friend.
If V decides to talk to Barry and just leave it there, then Barry will end up dead in a few days. However, V can travel to the Columbarium in North Oak and find the grave of Barry’s friend Andrew – a turtle. V can take this knowledge to the cops outside of Barry’s apartment and save his life by allowing people to show that they understand his grief.
15 Machine Gun
Find Regina Jones’ Rhianna-Loving Smart Pistol
- Location: Alley in Vista del Rey, Heywood
- How to Acquire: Complete Act One
- Rewards: Skippy (Iconic Smart Pistol)
Venturing to Vista del Rey in Heywood, players will find a corpse with a rather special weapon: Skippy. Skippy is a beloved gun for a few reasons. Not only does it have a pretty good set of Iconic modifiers and uses a Smart Link to aim for the head, but it also speaks to V with a sassy and loyal charm. Yet, that charm runs out after 8 in-game days, when Skippy asks to be returned to his owner: Regina Jones.
Players can return Skippy to Regina, or decide to keep the gun for themselves. Regardless of their choice, it’s worth noting how fun and secret Skippy is, for he has two firing modes: Puppy-Loving Pacifist and Stone Cold Killer. If players choose the former, then after 100 kills he will permanently switch to the latter, and vice versa.
14 The Highwayman
Uncover the Sad Fate of Two Lovers for a Sweet Bike
- Location: Behind the Gun-O-Rama in Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo
- How to Acquire: Pick up the photo of James and Josie in the garage
- Rewards: ARCH Nazare “Itsumade”
Within Rancho Coronado East, players can find a garage with a decal of a skeletal horse just behind the Gun-O-Rama shop. Doing so will proceed with The Highwayman, a hidden quest in Cyberpunk 2077 that will have V and Johnny investigate the fate of the two lovers photographed within the garage, James and Josie. When finding James in Japantown, an investigation truly begins.
While The Highwayman might not have the greatest ending for two lovers, it’s still one worth completing to find out how cruel Night City can be, and to obtain a stolen Tyger Claw motorcycle: the ARCH Nazare “Itsumade” that will provide players with one of the best motorcycles in Cyberpunk 2077.
13 Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever
Obtain Night City’s Very Own Batmobile
- Location: Rocky Ridge mine tunnel in the Badlands
- How to Acquire: Complete Ghost Town
- Rewards: Rayfield Caliburn “Murkmobile”
Once players have aided in Panam Palmer’s quests with Ghost Town, players can actually head back into the same tunnel where V and Panam fought and killed the Wraiths and Raffen Shiv. Within these tunnels, there’s a dark secret found within one of the abandoned shipping containers, and inside is a Rayfield Caliburn “Murkmobile”, indicating that a vigilante uses these tunnels to move around – perhaps much like a famed DC Comics hero with a thing for bats?

Cyberpunk 2077: Every Iconic Assault Rifle In The Game
Cyberpunk 2077’s Assault Rifles provide V with the Iconic weapons that they need to become a Night City Legend, and here are the very best of them.
Sadly, there is no Murk Man to stop V here, and only a data shard will prove that a vigilante roams Night City and the Badlands. V can take the Murkmobile for their own garage, but as far as this quest goes, there isn’t much action other than the thrills of high speeds with a new ride from the Badlands.
12 Dressed to Kill
A Photoshoot Gone Wrong Provides V With a New Ride
- Location: Desert Film Set in Rocky Ridge, Badlands
- How to Acquire: Visit the Desert Film Set
- Rewards: Thorton Colby CX410 “Gran Butte”
For the Vs out there who like to explore the Badlands, feel free to check out the desolate Desert Film Set location at Jeff’s Dirt Track, which has quite a few corpses scattered throughout. While V might spot a Trauma Team vehicle leaving the area, all the evidence around and the data shards suggest a photoshoot that didn’t exactly go as planned thanks to the Wraiths.
While this is a quest that tells a visual story rather than having V get into the combat themselves, it’s still interesting to see the life of Night City go on, and even more interesting to claim yet another free vehicle for V’s collection with the abandoned Thorton Colby CX410 “Gran Butte”.
11 1R-ONC-LAD
A Scavenger Hunt in the Petrochem Stadium to
- Location: Green shipping container in the EBM Petrochem Stadium, Dogtown
- How to Acquire: Access Dogtown with the Phantom Liberty DLC
- Rewards: Eurodollars, Skill Shard (dependant)
Within the Petrochem, players can uncover the flickering and sparking body of a robot, waiting for help. Interacting with the robot reveals itself as 1R-ONC-LAD, and now V has to explore the Peotrchem Stadium in search of computers and scavenger drops to rebuild 1R-ONC-LAD’s database so that it may once again be repaired.
1R-ONC-LAD is like the Cyberpunk 2077 Pinocchio, but is providing a robot with a sense of morality a good idea? Players can either wipe 1R-ONC-LAD’s memory, leave the bot alone to complete its revenge, or reprogram it so that it becomes a talented guitarist – the third option provides V with Eurodollars and a Skill Shard a few days later if V returns to 1R-ONC-LAD’s now abandoned location.
10 Bullets
Battle a Secret Cyberpsycho and Speak With MaxTac
- Location: Junguji in Downtown, City Center
- How to Acquire: Talk to Zane Jagger in Junguji
- Rewards: None
The Bullets side quest is a unique surprise that shows how dangerous Night City is. A fine clothing establishment such as Jinguji seems like a safe place for the rich to splash some eddies, but when venturing here and talking to the clerk, a Cyberpsycho breaks through – forcing V to engage in a tough boss fight until MaxTac arrives.
The main secret from this quest comes from the MaxTac employee, who players can identify as Melissa Rory, a MaxTac lieutenant who was a former Cyberpsycho herself – thus reinforcing the idea that MaxTac is just programmed Cyberpsychos.
9 The Prophet’s Song
Uncover Global Conspiracies Involving Garry the Prophet
- Location: Urmland Street in Kabuki, Watson
- How to Acquire: Talk to Garry the Prophet
- Rewards: None
Outside Misty’s Esoterica, players can find Garry the Prophet, a character who incessantly rambles on about lizard people and other absurd conspiracies that plague Night City. Players need to talk to Garry a few times throughout their ventures, and then one day, Garry will give V a mission to investigate an area of Kabuki.
The quest involves Johnny and V on a stakeout against Maelstrom and an unnamed organization, and the quest involves a bizarre conspiracy that still remains unsolved. Where is Garry, and who took him? Perhaps Garry’s conspiracies hold merit after all.
8 Kold Mirage
Discover the Body of the Legendary Netrunner, Rache Bartmoss
- Location: Municipal landfill at Red Peaks, Badlands
- How to Acquire: Complete Ghost Town
- Rewards: Memory Wipe, Reboot Optics, Short Circuit, Sonic Shock, System Collapse (x5 Quickhacks)
Kold Mirage is another secret quest that some players might have missed due to both its obscurity and its location deep within the Badlands. If V ever feels like returning to the spot where Dex left them for dead in the Badlands, they can find an old freezer that has the corpse of Rache Bartmoss, a Night City legendary Netrunner.

- Acquired: Purchase Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (930) for €$74,000
- Potential Rewards: Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (930)
Once players purchase the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet (930), they will receive a mysterious message from one of their favorite Fixer’s, Muamar Reyes. This text involves the mystery around the recently purchased vehicle, and how it has disappeared, with the driver nowhere to be seen. Luckily, V receives a text of the last known location.
Venturing here, players will find a funny sight, as a Johnny Silverhand impersonator lies dead on the floor. Players can loot this corpse and find further clues as to where their new vehicle is hiding. It’s a cute quest that will see Johnny Silverhand’s legacy live on.
6 Moving Heat
Sneak Into Barghest’s Garage And Steal The Quadra Sport R-7 Charon Vehicle
- Location: EBM Petrochem Stadium, Dogtown
- Acquired: Complete the Firestarter mission in Phantom Liberty’s campaign
- Potential Rewards: Quadra Sport R-7 Charon
If players want to get their hands on a pretty cool new ride, then they are going to need to complete Moving Heat. If players have gone through the Phantom Liberty campaign, they will recognize the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon Vehicle as a true beauty, now locked away in the garage of Barghest’s infinite army. Luckily, a quick text from a netrunner is going to aid them.
Players can mess this quest up, so stealth is essential when working with this mysterious netrunner. In doing so, they will earn themselves the vehicle, which would have otherwise been unavailable if players ignored this cryptic texter, or decided to do things the loud way.
5 FF06B5
- Location: Biotechnia Protein Farms
- Acquired: Enter the Biotechnia Protein Farm’s shack
- Potential Rewards: n/a
FF06B5 is going to throw players for a loop, as it’s a true mystery that still hasn’t exactly been solved all the way through. The quest itself is unmarked, and players are given mere clues rather than directions as to where to go next. If players are looking for something secret to do in Night City, trying to solve FF06B5’s mystery will certainly have players wasting hours.

4 Feed Teh Cat
Acquire A Pet Cat
- Location: China Town, Watson
- Acquired: Search a barrel in Megabuilding H10: Atrium for a data shard
- Potential Rewards: Nibbles the cat
Heading to Megabuilding H10: Atrium, players can take a left from their apartment door into a small alleyway where they will discover a trash can with a data shard poking out of it. This data shard simply reads “Feed teh Cat”, and it’s a secret unmarked quest that requires players to place a food bowl at the same location and head out into the world to come back a few hours later.
Whilst it’s not the most exciting quest in the world, it will reward players with Nibbles, a hairless cat that will become V’s pet. Nibbles will hang out in V’s apartment, purring and meowing in V’s presence. It’s a cute and secret side quest worth jumping into so V’s apartment gets a furless friend.
3 Voodoo Treasure
- Location: The Needle, Dogtown
- Acquired: Listen to Aurore and Aymeric’s conversations in I’ve Seen That Face Before
- Potential Rewards: 8,000 Eurodollars, Rook
Dogtown is filled with secrets, and one of them can be obtained by eavesdropping. Through Phantom Liberty’s main quest I’ve Seen That Face Before, players can listen to Aurore Cassel and Aymeric Cassel’s conversation, where they will discuss Slider. Upon dealing with the twins, players can loot a Blind_N_Dead data shard to unlock themselves a missable quest in Cyberpunk 2077.
This quest is rather simple, and it will take players to the Needle in Dogtown, where they can discover a secret stash filled with Eurodollars and other useful items from the Voodoo Boys. It’s not a hard quest, and the rewards are rather nice, as who wouldn’t want a new Iconic Pistol?
2 This Corrosion
Unlock The Power Of The Blackwall
- Location: Watson, Kabuki Market
- Acquired: Receive a mysterious text after Somewhat Damaged mission
- Rewards: Militech Canto Mk.6 or Erebus
Whilst this mission may be a short one, it’s easily one of the best side jobs in Cyberpunk 2077 due to its secrecy and reward. Not many people will know about the hidden items that can be looted during the Somewhat Damaged quest from Phantom Liberty, since these requirements are locked behind the path where players betray Songbird and help Solomon Reed in the Firestarter mission. However, This Corrosion adds further mystery and power to the game.

V is given great power from beyond the Blackwall in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, provided they haven’t missed the quest for these Iconic weapons.
Players are given instructions via text messages from AIs that are beyond the Blackwall. It’s scary to think that they know everything about V and instruct them to visit a Netrunner at the Kabuki Market to place the Behavioral Chip they found from the Cerberus Unit into a weapon of their choice, a weapon capable of corrupting those it touches.
1 Venus in Furs
A Fun Night with Meredith Stout Provides Lewd Rewards
- Location: No-Tell Motel in Kabuki, Watson
- How to Acquire: Keep Meredith Stout alive during The Pickup
- Rewards: Sir John Phallustiff (Iconic Melee Weapon)
For those still in Act One of Cyberpunk 2077, they might not have a great impression of Meredith Stout. Meredith is a hard-edged and no-nonsense operations manager for Militech, and V can provide her with a hard time when meeting her during The Pickup. Some players might elicit to not use her help, and in doing so, she will be replaced by Anthony Gilchrist – with Meredith dead and buried.
However, if players follow Meredith’s plan at the All Food’s Plant with Maelstrom, she will still be alive, and be rather thankful to V and later in the game will invite them to a No-Tell Motel for some raunchy fun. A one-night stand isn’t all players will get, as an extremely lewd and overpowered melee weapon can be acquired from the bed they slept on.
