According to Murray, Hello Games has been bringing back Expeditions in redux form over the past years to give players the chance to complete events and unlock rewards with relative ease. Rewards for 2024’s Expeditions include unique No Man’s Sky starships like the Iron Vulture, a vessel that resembles Halo‘s Pelican dropship and the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian.
The No Man’s Sky team is still working on future content for the game even as the year comes to an end, according to Murray. “[W]e have much more in store for No Man’s Sky,” the developer said in his newest blog post. Murray recently pointed out that No Man’s Sky, which was heavily criticized when it fully launched in 2016 for failing to meet players’ expectations, now has a Very Positive overall rating on Steam. General opinion on the title has improved over time as Hello Games continued to develop it and release more content. No Man’s Sky has even been nominated in the Best Community Support category at The Game Awards 2024. The winner of this category supposedly has outstanding community support, transparency, and responsiveness.
Hello Games is currently working on Light No Fire, an upcoming fantasy title that will supposedly be more ambitious than No Man’s Sky despite being set on a single world. According to Murray’s latest blog post, Hello Games is making great progress on its next project.
