Key Takeaways
- GameStop has dropped the price of almost all of its Nintendo Switch Lite consoles to $150 for Black Friday.
- That includes the two limited edition Pokemon designs it currently has in stock.
- Multiple other color options are available if you’d prefer a discount Switch Lite that isn’t Pokemon-themed.
Black Friday is almost upon and most sales are already in full swing. The best time of year to pick up gifts with the holiday season right around the corner and discounts on pretty much anything you could ask for. GameStop already has a lot of stuff on sale heading into Black Friday weekend, including Nintendo Switch Lite consoles for what I’m fairly certain is the cheapest I have ever seen them.
The Switch Lite is already the cheapest way to hop aboard Nintendo’s newest bandwagon since it’s a smaller version of the hit console that can only be played in handheld mode. That means even when other Switch models are discounted, the Lite still usually costs a lot less. When you throw a Black Friday sale into the mix, and on refurbished consoles, it brings the prices of almost every Switch Lite design at GameStop right now down to just $150.

Yes, these Switch Lites might be refurbished, but that doesn’t make them less than. If you’re buying a Switch this late on in the console’s life cycle, I can’t imagine you care all that much about whether it’s brand new or not. Two of the best, and rarer, designs included in the sale are Pokemon’s Dialga and Palkia, and Zacian and Zamazenta editions. Almost every non-Pokemon color option is also available for $150.
The only Switch Lite model GameStop has in stock that isn’t on sale is the golden Hyrule Edition console. That only launched two months ago alongside
The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom
so would have been a little much to ask for that one to be knocked down to $150 this soon.
$150 Could Be The Lowest Price The Switch Lite Ever Drops Too
Hard To Imagine A Console This Good Ever Being Sold For Less
Dropping the Switch Lite to this low a price is exactly what Nintendo needs to help its family of consoles inch closer to becoming the best-selling system of all time. At 146 million units and counting, it seemed like the Switch might actually do it. However, PlayStation officially updated its PS2 sales numbers this week, confirming the console that has occupied the number one spot for the past 15 years actually sold 160 million units rather than the 155 million that was previously estimated.

The Nintendo Switch Lite is a smaller, more affordable version of the base console. The biggest difference is that it can only be used in handheld mode, eliminating the Switch part of its name when it comes to what exactly the Lite can do.
If you pick up a discount Switch Lite and would like some cut-price games to play on it, Nintendo is running an eShop sale across Black Friday weekend with some very big games available for less while it’s live. The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom is down to $39.99, and the much-improved GTA Remastered Trilogy is half price.
