The Sims 4 Life and Death added quite a few fun traits to the game. To acquire each trait, gamers must either select it while making a Sim in Create-a-Sim, finish aspirations and unlock reward traits, or even do specific in-game actions to gain access to them.

The Sims 4: The 25 Best Trait Mods To Bring Life To Your Sims
Although many of the best traits are restricted to expansion packs, there are plenty of great Sims 4 mods to fill in the gaps for f2p players.
Each trait will give Sims their own personality and others even grant useful perks. However, some fall short of expectations and feel shallow. This list ranks the seven traits that were added to The Sims 4 with the Life and Death expansion pack.
6 Skeptical
Deniers of an Otherworldly Life
In a world riddled with ghosts, it makes sense for there to be some Skeptical Sims in the midst of it. While many Sims in Ravenwood are actually Ghost Sims and can be seen at any time of the day, Skeptical Sims will refuse to believe they are real. This can lead to unique interactions between Ghosts and Skeptical Sims and even be a great scenario for a household.
Although there is some cross-pack compatibility with Skeptical Sims, as they will refuse to believe in other Occults in The Sims 4, there aren’t many gameplay options for these Sims.
5 Macabre
Embrace the Darker Side of Life
Macabre Sims are the polar opposite of Skeptical Sims, which is why the two will undoubtedly clash if put together in a room. While Skeptical Sims deny the existence of Ghost Sims, Macabre Sims always gain happy moodlets while around ghosts and the Grim Reaper.

These Sims love everything that is dark, morbid, and related to death, which is why they truly enjoy researching and leveling up the Thanatology Skill in The Sims 4 and have a unique way of dealing with what life throws at them.
4 Grimborn & Grim Descendant
Show Off Your Lineage
When a Sim tries for a baby with the Grim Reaper in The Sims 4, the offspring will be born with the Grimborn trait. Not only does this trait give the Sim an exclusive scythe-shaped marking below their left ear, but it also extends their life span.
While the Grimborn trait grants this awesome scar and a longer life, Grim Descendants aren’t as lucky. Sims with the Grim Descendant trait don’t receive any of these perks. They have the traits, as they are still related to the Grim Reaper, but it’s just for show.
3 Ghost Whisperer
Reward Trait for Ghost Historians
The Ghost Historian aspiration was introduced to The Sims 4 with the Life and Death expansion pack. After completing the Ghost Historian aspiration milestones, the Sim will be rewarded with the unique Ghost Whisperer trait.

Besides unlocking exclusive interactions related to otherworldly findings and research, the Ghost Whisperer trait makes it much easier for Sims to connect with the other side of life. This means that Sims won’t have as much trouble establishing friendships and romantic relationships with ghosts.
2 Chased by Death
Live Life to the Fullest
While Chased by Death might seem like an exclusively negative trait, that’s not always the case. During the Life and Death livestream, The Sims Team revealed that the Chased by Death trait was meant to work similarly to Build Mode’s lot challenges; somewhat negative traits that add an interesting twist to a Sim’s day-to-day life.
Risky interactions are more likely to be lethal for Sims with the Chased by Death. However, they can more easily complete their Bucket List and Soul’s Journey because they live life to the fullest, as they know they might meet their demise at any time.
1 Burning Soul
A Reward for Another Life
The Life and Death expansion pack introduced Bucket Lists to The Sims 4, allowing players to complete all of their most exciting life objectives and unfinished business in the afterlife. Sims who complete every milestone of the Soul’s Journey by fully finishing their Bucket List have the ability to be reborn as another Sim and they also receive the Burning Soul trait in this other life.
Sims who have acquired the Burning Soul trait can recall certain traits, attributes, skills, and even Sims from a past life. Therefore, when they’re reborn, they’re much like their past self.
