During each chapter in Ravenswatch, where you only get 18 minutes to do everything you can, there are a lot of icons on the map to choose between. You only have time to find and complete some of them, so you need to be picky.

8 Best Co-Op Roguelikes
Roguelikes are tough: optimal builds, staying alive, and beating difficult bosses. These games prove it’s better if you play with a friend!
One of the best options are the quests, which involve helping out locals with a few different things in return for useful rewards. Since you’ll likely stumble across them in the first chapter and the game doesn’t explain what they are, you’ll want to know how they work and what you get as a reward for completing them. Without that, you won’t know whether they’re worth doing instead of other options.
How To Find Quests
While they’re not explained when you first start a run in Ravenswatch, since there isn’t a tutorial of any kind, quests are actually quite easy to find. On the mini-map in the bottom right of the screen, look for an exclamation mark icon. Once you’ve found it, head to where it is.
If you cannot find an exclamation mark on the mini-map, look for Raven Eyes to reveal more of that map. They should make the quest icons visible.
Once you’re there, you will need to interact with the icon. Usually, it’ll be at an NPC that needs help. However, it can be elsewhere if you’re being tasked with something like saving someone.
How To Complete Quests
How you complete the quest depends on what you’re being asked to do. Most quests see the NPC ask you to fetch something for you. That can be approximately 15 of a type of wood to fortify a house, or something else.
The location of the material will be highlighted on your mini-map, so head there to collect it. Once you have everything you need, head back to the NPC to give it to them. You’ll only have a few minutes to do so before the NPC’s location starts to be attacked and you need to help out.
You will likely encounter enemies where the materials you need to collect are, so be careful.
Not all quests are fetch-focused. Some will ask you to rescue an NPC by beating a series of enemies and a mini-boss. These are much harder than the others, but grant better rewards. Again, you’ll only have a few minutes to beat the mini-boss, otherwise the NPC will be killed.
Quest Rewards
No matter which quest you complete, you’ll be given some XP for completing it. However, you’ll also get to choose between three consumables to make the rest of your run a little easier.
The consumables you’re offered will always be Legendary rarity, so they’ll certainly be useful.
Choose the consumable you think will be the most useful, then be on your way once more to improve your skills ahead of the chapter boss.
