Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is an open-world adventure game based on the popular series of sci-fi movies created by filmmaker and philanthropist James Cameron. Since its December 7, 2023 launch, the Ubisoft-published title has received plenty of updates that have added features, enhanced the game’s stability, and addressed various technical issues. The latest of these is no exception, having introduced another region and delivered a long list of bug fixes, among other things.

Title Update 1.2 for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora went live on November 28, the same day the shooter’s second story pack, Secret of the Spires, was released. The paid expansion provides players with a new area called the Spires of the Clouded Forest and an extra story campaign. It also includes additional side quests, activities, skills, and gear. Secret of the Spires was initially supposed to come out on November 26, but the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora DLC was delayed due to a critical last-minute issue, according to the game’s development team.
One more highlight of Massive Entertainment’s latest update is the introduction of PlayStation 5 Pro support for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Owners of the recently released console can expect to explore the picturesque homeworld of the Na’vi at 60 FPS should they play in Quality Mode. Under the same setting, the regular PS5 outputs at just half that frame rate. Aside from running smoother, the PS5 Pro version of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora should have a higher rendering resolution as well. Sony’s newest machine can make use of PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution, or PSSR, which is an AI-driven upscaling technology that enables the PS5 Pro to improve the image quality of games even if they do not officially support the console.
Thanks to Title Update 1.2, skills points can now be used to unlock and upgrade several skills for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora‘s flying Ikran mount. The major update also addressed a long list of known issues, including one that resulted in players receiving rewards without looting or completing quests.
Massive Entertainment’s most recent update for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will require 24.32 GB of free space on the PC. Meanwhile, those on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S must have a spare 18 GB and 17.5 GB on their drives, respectively, to install the patch.
