While Ravenswatch has similarities to other roguelikes, the fact that you only get 18 minutes to scour each chapter’s map is what makes it stand out from the competition. It means you’re under pressure from the moment a run begins.

At the end of each chapter, you need to face the chapter boss to really test your skills and what you’ve unlocked in the previous 18 minutes. However, if you’re impatient, you can skip some of the 18 minutes and face the chapter boss early. It’s not something everyone will want to do, but it’s helpful to know how should you ever want to do so yourself.
How To Fight Chapter Bosses Early
To fight chapter bosses early, you need to look for the crosshairs icon on the mini-map. If one isn’t there, you’ll need to look for Raven Eyes to reveal one.
Head to the location of that icon and you’ll see the outline of a scorched area that gets red towards the centre. Walk into it and stand in the middle of the red section. After a few seconds, the chapter boss fight will begin. You don’t need to press anything, just simply need to stand there for long enough.
Fighting chapter bosses early means you
sacrifice the chance to get any extra bonuses
, including reducing the health of the chapter boss early.
Should You Fight Them Early?
There are only two reasons to fight a chapter boss early in Ravenswatch. First, you can do so if you have found and completed everything you’d like to in a chapter.
If you’ve found all the Raven Eyes, completed all of the quests, and beaten the mini-bosses, you can head to the chapter boss before your 18 minutes are up. However, it’s very, very unlikely you’ll do that, considering how much there is to see and how long it takes to uncover everything. If you somehow do so, though, the chapter boss is waiting for you.
The other reason you may want to fight the chapter boss early is because you’re concerned about losing too much health and using precious feathers fighting other enemies around the map. If you feel you’re ready for the boss and don’t want to risk fighting other enemies, you can head to the chapter boss whenever you want.
